Forum “Minister of Industry and Trade and Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union – Listening to farmers speak”

On October 1, in Hanoi, the Forum "Minister of Industry and Trade and Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union - Listening to farmers speak" will take place.

With the theme "Connecting the market - Building brands - Promoting agricultural product consumption, contributing to double-digit growth", the Forum " Minister of Industry and Trade and Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union - Listening to farmers speak" was held for the first time.

The event is part of the program series "Pride of Vietnamese Farmers 2025", towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (1930 - 2025).

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Co-chairs: Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade and Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

This is also an opportunity for the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to introduce new orientations and policies; emphasize the role of the private economy and cooperatives; and affirm the importance of digital transformation, building national agricultural product brands and developing sustainable markets.

This spirit is associated with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development.

In addition, the forum also contributes to the implementation of Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW (August 20, 2025) on ensuring national energy security by 2030, with a vision to 2045, with an orientation towards application in the agricultural sector, towards zero-emission production, sustainable, green and clean farming and exploitation.

The forum will be a three-way dialogue space between farmers - businesses - state management agencies, focusing on removing obstacles in agricultural product consumption, logistics, trade infrastructure, e-commerce , domestic market development and export, especially in the context of the two-level local government model being implemented from July 1, 2025.

The forum promises to motivate farmers, cooperatives and businesses to access new policies, while contributing to realizing the goal of sustainable growth and increasing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products in the new period.
