Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025: Nearly 6,000 trade deals, affirming its position as a regional tourism center

On the morning of October 16, at Ariyana International Convention Palace (Da Nang City), the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 officially opened, marking the second time it was held on an expanded international scale, opening up nearly 6,000 trade exchanges between Vietnamese and international businesses.

The event was hosted by the Da Nang Tourism Association in coordination with HORECFEX Vietnam, aiming to create a space for trade connection, open up strategic cooperation opportunities, and contribute to promoting sustainable growth of visitors and tourism revenue.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu The Binh - Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association affirmed: 2025 marks a remarkable development step of Vietnam's tourism industry with the goal of welcoming 25 million international visitors according to Resolution 226 of the Government , and the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 is an important highlight demonstrating that determination.

He appreciated the Da Nang Tourism Association for organizing a large-scale event, successfully connecting more than 120 international buyers and many other partners, creating a vibrant forum for trade and cooperation.

“The Vietnam Tourism Association is committed to accompanying and supporting the Festival to become an annual activity, contributing to making Da Nang a leading center for events, conferences and tourism in the region,” Mr. Binh emphasized.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, Tan Van Vuong, the second Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 is an important event in the strategy of promoting destinations and enhancing the city's tourism brand. This is not only a simple promotional event, but also a meeting point for Da Nang to affirm its position as a tourism, conference and event center of the region.

Mr. Vuong said that in the first 9 months of 2025, Da Nang tourism achieved impressive results: more than 14.4 million overnight guests, of which international visitors increased by over 31%... This is a positive signal showing the strong resilience of the city after the merger.

“The event creates an international playground for businesses to expand their cooperation networks, form many new contracts, and at the same time spread the image of a potential, hospitable and sustainable Da Nang,” said Mr. Vuong.

Entering its second edition, the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 returns with a larger scale and more in-depth content. The highlight is the business connection space (B2B Buyers Meet Sellers) - one of the largest B2B events in the country. Taking place over two days, October 16-17, it recorded nearly 5,000 business appointments between Vietnamese and international businesses - a record number showing the growing attraction and position of Da Nang on the regional tourism map.

Co-organizer, Mr. Andre Pierre - Vice President of HORECFEX Vietnam shared: “With experience in organizing leading exhibitions and forums on innovative technology in the Horeca industry, we are honored to accompany Da Nang in such a meaningful international event. This is a testament to the city's strategic vision in reaching out and breaking through global connections and sustainable development.”

With more than 300 sales units, 110 international buyers from key markets such as Thailand, Korea, Japan, China, India, Russia, CIS countries and Western Europe, and 180 domestic travel companies, the 2025 Festival gathered nearly 2,000 delegates representing businesses, hotels, restaurants, service providers and tour guides.

Within the framework of the event, there will be a thematic workshop, the Congress of the Danang Tourism Association for the 2025-2029 term and many in-depth discussion sessions revolving around strategies to attract visitors and develop new tourism products.

At the discussion session, Danang Hotel Association presented a paper.   “Solutions to improve the quality of tourism services and human resources in Da Nang city” , emphasizing that human resources are the “golden key” to maintaining the competitiveness of the destination. The presentation clearly stated that Da Nang currently has a balanced workforce between experienced Gen X and dynamic, technology-savvy Gen Y - Gen Z. However, there are still challenges in stabilizing services during peak seasons and a shortage of middle managers.

And to overcome this, some specific solutions are proposed: improving management capacity through intensive training programs in collaboration with IBH Academy, ST4SD and EHL School Switzerland; standardizing tourism professional capacity according to ASEAN standards; and promoting the application of technology in training and service, including E-learning for Da Nang Tourism, Big Data analysis and AI - multilingual chatbot to personalize tourist experiences,...

In particular, on October 17, the event continued with two key seminars: “Strategy to attract the Russian and CIS markets 2026”, where units discussed trends, potentials and policies to expand the tourist market after the recovery period and “Orientation for Da Nang tourism development in the new period”, focusing on solutions to diversify typical tourism products, improve tourist experiences and promote links between businesses - destinations - local communities.

With a series of trade activities, seminars and multi-dimensional connections, Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 not only has the meaning of trade promotion, but is also a strategic step in the journey to elevate Vietnamese tourism in the international arena.

B2B meetings, professional discussion programs and business connections are expected to open up many practical cooperation opportunities, contributing to increasing the number of international visitors, attracting investment and strengthening the confidence of global partners in the Vietnamese tourism market.

As the “Leading Event and Tourism City of the region”, Da Nang continues to affirm its organizational capacity, integration spirit and long-term vision in connecting the business community, creating sustainable values ​​for the Vietnamese tourism industry.
