The Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province has just announced the admission benchmark scores for the second round of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, the whole province has 1,532 candidates admitted to 29 high schools in the area in the second round. The highest standard score is Nguyen Duc Canh High School with 36.6 points; the lowest are Hung Nhan High School and Thai Ninh High School with 27.1 points.

Thus, along with the results of the first round of admission announced on August 20, 14,763 students (of which 525 students passed the entrance exam to specialized schools and 14,238 students passed the entrance exam to 29 public high schools), through 2 rounds of admission after the inspection conclusion, the whole province has 16,295 students passed the entrance exam to specialized and public high schools.

According to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh, candidates who are not admitted to public high schools can register for admission to a private high school or a vocational training center of the district or city according to their wishes. Candidates can register for admission on the Thai Binh province's primary enrollment system from August 24 to 5:00 p.m. on August 27.

Candidates who need to have their exam papers reviewed must submit an application to the exam registration office before 5:00 p.m. on August 25 to complete the review procedure.

Candidates who take the exam at any high school must submit their re-examination application at that high school. Schools will update the re-examination data on the primary admission system; compile and submit the list to the Department of Education and Training on August 26. The Department of Education and Training will organize the re-examination according to regulations and notify the schools of the results before the opening day.

Previously, on the morning of August 20, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province held a press conference to provide information on the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year after the inspection.

At the press conference, the Inspectorate of Thai Binh province said that during the process of reviewing the essay test, the number of test papers that were checked for hand-matching was only 0.71%, not ensuring at least 20% of the essay test papers as required.

The cause of the violation was pointed out, because the Head of the Secretariat and related individuals of the Secretariat did not fully perform their responsibilities in performing their official duties. The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, Head of the exam steering committee, was irresponsible, did not check, supervise, and did not promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee about the unusual incident at this exam.
