On October 5, the program "Mid-Autumn Festival" combined with the exchange "Learning together, loving Vietnamese together" took place at the Vietnam Exhibition House within the framework of the World Exhibition EXPO Osaka Kansai 2025.
The event was attended by 35 students of Cay Tre Vietnamese School, teachers, experts and guests.
According to a VNA reporter in Japan, this is one of the outstanding activities within the framework of EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai, with the goal of preserving the Vietnamese language and promoting Vietnamese culture to international friends.
The program started with a special lion dance, attracting the attention of many visitors. The bustling drum sound and the graceful image of the lion opened up a festival space full of cultural features.
Ms. Do Lan Phuong - Director of Vietnam Exhibition House, said: “We are very proud to accompany Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School to organize today's program. This is not only an occasion to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival but also an opportunity to connect the community, preserve the Vietnamese language and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends, especially within the framework of EXPO 2025.”
“We believe that programs like today not only spread Vietnamese culture but also contribute to fostering community spirit and preserving the Vietnamese language for future generations,” Ms. Do Lan Phuong emphasized.
Professor Shimizu Masaaki of Osaka University said that Vietnamese is not only a language, but also a cultural bridge between the Vietnamese community and the world.
The professor emphasized that learning and preserving Vietnamese abroad helps the young generation be proud of their roots and contributes to building an image of Vietnam rich in identity.
Phuong Anh, a student at Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School, also expressed her excitement at participating in the program. She affirmed that this is an opportunity for her and her friends to learn and experience Vietnamese culture, and to be more proud of their Vietnamese language.
The program offered traditional cultural experiences such as instruction on playing the traditional musical instrument Klong-put and the unique art of Vietnamese water puppetry.
The program "Mid-Autumn Festival" and the exchange "Learning together, loving Vietnamese together" have left a deep impression, demonstrating the spirit of integration and preservation - a meaningful message within the framework of the activities of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025./.
