Speed up environmental assessment progress, ensure legitimate rights of people

According to the complaint, some households in hamlet 13, Tan Linh commune, old Dai Tu district (now Phu Lac commune), said that the Nui Phao Mineral Exploitation and Processing Company, in the process of leveling rocks and soil, and constructing the Northern waste water collection canal, caused dust, polluted domestic water sources, and risked landslides, directly affecting people's property and lives.

People have petitioned local authorities to review and evaluate the cause, and requested to be relocated from the area to ensure safety.

Regarding this content, the Provincial People's Committee has issued many directive documents, including Notice No. 78/TB-UBND dated September 5, 2025, assigning relevant departments, branches, units and localities to urgently inspect, survey, monitor the environment (water, soil, air), and assess the safety level of the water intake canal project in the area at the foot of the waste dump north of Nui Phao mine.

Specialized agencies are actively implementing tasks, collecting data to comprehensively assess the current environmental status and landslide risks, as a basis for reporting and advising the Provincial People's Committee on appropriate handling plans. However, while the authorities are in the process of implementing their tasks and have not yet had final results, some citizens continue to send petitions to competent authorities.

At the meeting, based on listening to citizens' feedback, reports from functional agencies and Phu Lac commune government, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan asked people to share and cooperate with the government and professional agencies in the verification and evaluation process.
