Gia Lai: 52 households donated land to build 13 rural roads

On October 16, the Party Committee of Ia Hiao commune (Gia Lai province) announced that 52 households in the commune voluntarily donated more than 4,708 square meters of land, crops and assets attached to the land worth VND880 million to serve the construction of 13 rural roads.

Thanks to the people's land donations, on the morning of October 16, Ia Hiao commune organized the construction of a road through Binh Trang village.

These 13 roads are located in Binh Trang, So Ma Long B, Bon Linh, So Ma Long A villages, and are currently degraded and severely damaged, causing difficulties for people's travel and economic development. Ia Hiao Commune has determined that in the 2025-2030 term, it will focus on investing in transport infrastructure to promote economic development and improve people's lives.

Mr. Bui Huu Tam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, thanked the people of Binh Trang village for donating land, helping to speed up the construction progress of the road through the village.

These projects do not have funds for site clearance. Recently, the local government has gone to the villages to mobilize people to donate land for road construction, many party members have taken the lead, so 52 affected households on 13 roads have voluntarily agreed.

Ia Hiao commune authorities listened to people share about land donation

According to Mr. Pham Van Phuong, Secretary of the Ia Hiao Commune Party Committee, the voluntary donation of land by the people has helped speed up the progress, save the budget and soon complete the rural transport infrastructure. It is commendable that the majority of households donating land are ethnic minorities, whose lives are still difficult but they are still willing to sacrifice personal interests and work together with the government to build roads. Up to now, the commune has a construction site, 13 roads will start construction from October 16 to 22, expected to be completed before November 15, serving the travel and transportation of agricultural products for hundreds of households.
