Aptech Star 2025: The story behind the excellent graduation achievements of 3 new international programming graduates

Nowadays, with the explosion of technology, programming is a major chosen by many young people. However, to achieve excellent academic results and make a mark among hundreds of students of the same age, is not an easy challenge.

However, the three faces Nguyen Truong Huy, Nguyen Dinh Duy and Tran Ngoc Huy Hoang still stand out as "stars" of the young, talented and enthusiastic generation of programmers.

They all received the international programmer certificate with honors in the 2025 graduation of the Aptech International Programmer Training System, and were honored to receive the Aptech Star Cup. This academic achievement is also special in that each year only a few students out of tens of thousands of Aptech students worldwide achieve it.

Nguyen Dinh Duy - Confidently doing an internship in programming after 6 months of studying

After studying in Japan, Nguyen Dinh Duy returned to Vietnam to study programming and is now Lead Developer of Luvina Software's Life Insurance project.

“I was not a person with programming knowledge at the beginning, but I realized that the information technology industry has a lot of potential for development, so I decided to pursue this career,” Dinh Duy expressed.

This young person chose to study at an Aptech facility at 19 Le Thanh Nghi, with the desire to be equipped with systematic programming knowledge and soon enter a real working environment.

After 6 months of studying, right after completing his project in the first semester, with a proactive spirit and high determination, Duy boldly applied for an internship at a business, studying and working for half a year to practice skills and accumulate experience.

It was that persistent effort that became a solid stepping stone, helping me achieve high results upon graduation.

Nguyen Dinh Duy is very touched and proud of his academic results.

Dinh Duy said that many of his friends were quite surprised when he confidently went for an internship in the first semesters. However, this is not uncommon at Aptech, because he chose an international training program that focuses on practicality, and the learning content goes straight into the 31 important programming languages that technology companies use.

From the position of intern, Nguyen Dinh Duy gradually proved his ability and had certain achievements in working in a foreign working environment with high demands.

"To meet the requirements of the strict environment of Japanese enterprises, I also try to equip myself with foreign languages and self-study, based on the knowledge and thinking that have been solidly equipped in more than 2 years of study," said Dinh Duy.

For Duy, the journey to technology is a “restart”, but a correct start. Technology always gives you opportunities, if you are persistent enough.

Nguyen Truong Huy - Growing up after each programming project

If Dinh Duy came to technology from an unexpected turn, Nguyen Truong Huy was the one who determined his passion very early.

Since high school, Huy has had a passion for computers and decided to choose programming - a path that Huy believes can turn his personal interest into a long-term career.

What's special is that instead of choosing information technology at some universities, Huy decided to study programming at Aptech, 285 Doi Can campus, to start working right away during his studies.

After receiving his bachelor's degree with honors, Huy started working as a Fullstack Programmer - a job that matched his training.

“I think studying in a practical environment, where each subject is linked to a specific product, has helped me choose a suitable job early on,” Huy shared about his achievements.

Recalling the most memorable memory during his studies, Huy told about his final project: “The night before the defense, the project still had many errors. The whole group stayed up almost all night, worried that we wouldn’t make it in time. Luckily, we received timely support from teachers and training department staff, helping us complete it on time. In the end, the project not only ran stably but was also highly appreciated for its applicability.”

Not only stopping at the assigned homework, Huy also proactively develops personal projects each semester - from music listening website, sales management software to personalized study schedule application. It is this initiative that helps Huy gain more experience for his job application.

Currently, Huy is planning to continue studying the advanced programming program at Aptech, to achieve his goal of becoming a Technology Project Manager in the near future.

For Huy, the spirit of learning is always clear: “If you just study to pass the subject, it will not be enough. Learn to create a real product and understand why it works the way it does.”

Tran Ngoc Huy Hoang: "Sweet fruit" thanks to daily efforts

In addition to his outstanding achievements, Tran Ngoc Huy Hoang is also an example of effort in studying, proactive learning, and overcoming personal barriers. Hoang chose to study at an Aptech facility at 285 Doi Can simply because he wanted to “learn from people who are doing real work”.

“At first, I was slow at typing code and confused when reading questions. But I overcame it by practicing and doing a lot of exercises during my studies to understand the syntax and knowledge of each programming language,” he confided.

From the initial difficulties, Hoang became more and more interested in the lines of code and the knowledge he did not understand clearly. He always proactively asked the teachers in class and received enthusiastic and detailed answers.

Sharing on aptechvietnam.com.vn, Huy Hoang said that Aptech is not only a place to study, but also a place to hone one's character. He is also one of the few students who have the opportunity to participate in the Techwiz competition - a global playground for Aptech students from 43 countries to compete in the field of technology.

“I learned a lot from that competition. Techwiz helped me become more confident, learn how to think and solve problems from foreigners,” Hoang said.

After more than two years, Hoang realized that the most important thing that Aptech teaches is not only knowledge, but also learning attitude. He always tries to be meticulous in every exercise and every project, because that is the only way to progress. In his opinion, being serious in every line of code at school is the best way to practice professional skills and discipline when working in a business.

Although the three friends had different starting points, they all shared a common journey of growth. From their first lessons to confidently starting work, each of them proved that learning programming is not just about learning computer language, but also about learning how to think, how to persevere and how to constantly develop themselves.

And the Aptech stars are the clearest proof that, if you are passionate enough and dare to start, technology will always open a door to the future for you.
