Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan worked with Truong Hai Agricultural Joint Stock Company

(gialai.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of October 13, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan chaired a working session with Truong Hai Agricultural Joint Stock Company (THACO AGRI) on the implementation of investment memorandums of understanding in the province. Also attending were representatives of the departments of Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade, Construction, and Justice. The meeting was connected online to the bridge point of Pleiku Ward People's Committee and the People's Committees of Ia Le, Po To, and Ia Púch communes.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Bao Son - Deputy General Director of Truong Hai Group ( THACO ) and General Director of THACO AGRI Group said: According to the Investment Memorandums of Understanding signed at the Gia Lai Investment Promotion Conference in August 2025, THACO AGRI and its member companies will implement 5 projects in Gia Lai province, with a total expected investment of 11,000 billion VND. Specifically: The project "Planting forestry trees combined with cattle breeding in Ia Púch commune", invested by Trung Nguyen Cattle Breeding One Member Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 4,380 billion VND; 02 projects: "Livestock breeding according to the agroforestry model in Po To commune" and "Livestock breeding according to the agroforestry model in Ia Le commune", invested by Trung Nguyen Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 6,077 billion VND; 02 projects "Industrial Cluster and Logistics Center" and "Complex of Trade, Service and Housing Center", invested by THACO AGRI, with a total investment capital of 2,025 billion VND.

Representatives of THACO AGRI Company expressed their determination to effectively implement the above projects; at the same time, proposed a number of contents related to the signed projects in order to soon deploy and put the projects into operation.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan welcomed THACO AGRI and its member companies for deciding to invest in Gia Lai province; at the same time, affirmed the province's consistent viewpoint of always accompanying the business community, creating the most favorable conditions to promote investment, production and business activities of enterprises in the province. Along with that, Chairman Pham Anh Tuan also requested investors to carefully study legal regulations, propose effective projects for the common good; accompany the government, put national and ethnic interests first, first and foremost, then the interests of enterprises, aiming for harmonious and long-term benefits.

Regarding the investor's proposal related to 03 projects: "Planting forestry trees combined with cattle breeding in Ia Púch commune", "Livestock raising according to the agroforestry model in Po To commune" and "Livestock raising according to the agroforestry model in Ia Le commune", Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with localities to organize the assessment of the current forest status and the results of the implementation of the Project on converting poor forests to rubber plantations; at the same time, review related issues, urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the Government and the Politburo to request general guidance, as a basis for considering and deciding on handling plans for each project, each specific area, as well as removing difficulties and problems arising related to the Company's project, to be completed in October 2025. Along with that, urgently complete land records and procedures of projects in accordance with current legal regulations.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested investors to focus on researching and proposing projects applying high technology and deep processing of existing products of the company and the province, associated with the formation of stable raw material areas in the locality.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to introduce locations along National Highway 19 and the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway so that investors can comprehensively evaluate the project's effectiveness and promptly carry out investment procedures for the "Industrial - Agricultural Cluster and Logistics Center". He requested the People's Committee of Pleiku Ward and investors to focus on discussing and agreeing on the planning scheme for the "Complex of Trade, Service and Housing Centers", ensuring compliance with the local general planning and the needs of investors.

In addition to the committed investment projects, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested THACO to pioneer in implementing border trade activities at Le Thanh International Border Gate, building a business ecosystem, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring social security for people associated with national defense and security tasks in the border area.
