Write a story of getting rich from the homeland's land

In the Bich Hao tea area, the story of Mr. Nguyen Van Duong has long been a source of pride for the local people. From a barren hill area with only sim, mua and weeds, he boldly received more than 40 hectares of forest land to grow organic tea, invested in a modern processing factory, created jobs for dozens of workers, and earned an annual revenue of over 20 billion VND. "If we know how to exploit the advantages of land and boldly invest, farmers can completely get rich on their own homeland," Mr. Duong shared.
His success does not stop at family economy . From his model, he opens a sustainable direction for dozens of tea growing households in the region. His facility has become a stable purchasing address, helping people feel secure in production, no longer in the situation of "good harvest, low price". He also supports loans, provides deferred payment fertilizers, new tea varieties, and directly guides tea growing households in the region on organic planting, care, and harvesting techniques.

Along with people like Mr. Duong, throughout the countryside of Nghe An, there are more and more dynamic farmers who are bold in investing, daring to think and act, contributing to creating a new face for the rural economy. In Lam Thanh commune, Mr. Le Quoc Tan (born in 1976), Head of the Livestock Association, is known by many people as a typical example in the movement of good production and business.
When the locality implemented the policy of converting land, he boldly received more than 6 hectares to build a high-tech livestock farm combining fish farming and fruit tree growing. The decision to borrow nearly 10 billion VND from the bank was a risky step, but Mr. Tan believes that modern agriculture can only be successful when combined with technology and environmental protection.

After many years of development, the farm has formed a model of closed production. Six rows of pig pens are installed with cooling, heating, waste treatment systems, biogas connection; surrounded by 5 hectares of fish ponds for raising grass carp, bighead carp, bighead carp... Along with a lush vegetable garden and fruit trees. His method ensures environmental safety while taking advantage of natural nutrients, forming a closed, effective production cycle.
And in the highland areas, where production conditions are still difficult, that spirit of overcoming difficulties continues to be affirmed through effective business models, bearing the mark of hard-working, dynamic and creative farmers. In Quy Chau commune, Ms. Tran Thi Loan has persistently built a brand of agarwood, producing more than 5 million incense sticks each year, with a revenue of 2.5 billion VND, creating jobs for dozens of local workers.

In Anh Son, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, from a poor household, has risen to become rich with a model of raising organic chickens combined with growing raw tea and raising fish, earning more than 150 million VND per year. These farmers, with their hands, minds and determination, have contributed to creating a new face for Nghe An countryside today.
Spreading power in new rural development

Over the past years, the movement of farmers competing in production and business in Nghe An has not only stopped at effective economic models, but has become a large movement, spreading widely, creating a strong driving force to promote rural economic development. On average, each year, more than 300,000 member households register to participate, more than half of which have achieved the title of good farmers in production and business at all levels. This number reflects the spirit of innovation and the desire to become rich of Nghe An farmers.
Accompanying that movement is the persistent participation of Farmers' Associations at all levels, dedicated "midwives" for each idea and each agricultural economic model. The Associations at all levels not only do propaganda and mobilization work, but also connect and support farmers in terms of capital, technology, market and digital transformation. According to statistics from the Provincial Farmers' Association, by July 2025, the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund reached nearly 60 billion VND, helping more than 1,400 member households borrow capital to expand production; outstanding loans entrusted through banks reached over 6,700 billion VND, supporting more than 70,000 farming households to develop their economy.

Along with that, the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with many departments, branches and enterprises to organize thousands of training courses, transfer science and technology, helping members master knowledge of safe production and access new technology.
In particular, in the digital age, the Association has proactively brought farmers to the online environment: More than 266,000 farming households and 7,600 products have been connected to the e-commerce platform, helping to conveniently consume products, promote local brands, and bring the image of Nghe An farmers into the "digital space" confidently and professionally.

From the emulation movement of good production and business, the picture of Nghe An's rural economy has taken on new colors. Many specialized areas, large fields, and comprehensive economic models have been formed; hundreds of cooperatives and cooperative groups owned by farmers operate effectively. The movement contributes to promoting the transformation of the agricultural economic structure, developing organic agriculture, high-tech agriculture, circular economy, and bringing many typical products to meet OCOP standards.

According to the 2025-2030 period plan , the Provincial Farmers' Association sets specific goals:
- Establish 200 more cooperatives and cooperative groups owned by farmers; develop at least one effective farmer and business club in each locality , becoming a place to share experiences and inspire startup ideas;
- Support 1,000 farming households to start businesses each year , prioritizing high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, circular economy and production associated with rural tourism;
- Building a model of "Digital transformation of farmers" with the goal of 100% of members having access to and using digital platforms in production, consumption of agricultural products, payment, and brand promotion.
