Thanks to that, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the socio -economic situation of ethnic minority and mountainous areas of the province has achieved many outstanding results. The economic structure has shifted towards commodity production, forming many high-value specialized areas; people have changed their thinking, know how to apply science and technology to production, improve productivity, create jobs and increase income.
Infrastructure has been heavily invested with thousands of new or upgraded traffic works, schools, medical stations, and cultural houses. Digital infrastructure has developed dramatically, with 100% of commune centers having mobile signals, contributing to narrowing the digital gap.
In the field of education, the system of boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities has been invested in to meet the learning needs of students in mountainous areas; the work of eliminating illiteracy and training ethnic minority cadres has achieved positive results.
The health sector has been strengthened with modern facilities and equipment, serving well the medical examination and treatment for the people. Traditional cultural values have been preserved, and backward customs have been gradually eliminated. Social security policies, temporary housing elimination, and housing support for poor households and households affected by natural disasters have been vigorously implemented, helping to improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
Thereby, the grassroots political system is consolidated, the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups is increasingly strong, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province.
