With a serious, democratic and responsible working spirit, the 20th Congress of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, closed on the morning of October 16 at Conference Center 25B, Thanh Hoa City. The Congress is a particularly important political event of the province, gathering 499 delegates representing more than 235,000 party members in the entire Party Committee.

Spirit of solidarity, democracy and aspiration to rise up

The Congress affirmed the spirit of solidarity, innovation and aspiration to rise up, opening a new development period for Thanh Hoa province, a dynamic growth pole of the North Central region and the whole country.

The Congress summarized and comprehensively evaluated the results of the 2020-2025 term, and at the same time identified the main goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 period. During the past term, Thanh Hoa achieved an average GRDP growth rate of 10.5%/year, the economic structure shifted positively, economic and social infrastructure was strongly invested, attracting many large-scale projects, creating momentum for sustainable development. The fields of culture, education, health, and social security continued to receive attention; national defense and security were maintained.

Delegates focused on lively discussions and contributed many profound opinions to the draft documents of the 20th Provincial Congress and the documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress. Those opinions clearly demonstrated the aspiration and determination to build Thanh Hoa into a "model province" as desired by President Ho Chi Minh.

Personnel of the 20th Executive Committee - promoting inheritance and innovation

One of the key and particularly concerned contents of the Congress is personnel work. With the spirit of publicity, transparency and democracy, the Congress elected 69 comrades to the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Executive Committee, ensuring standards, structure, inheritance and development.

At the first meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XX, delegates elected the Provincial Party Standing Committee consisting of 15 comrades. As a result, comrade Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term XIX, was absolutely trusted to be re-elected as Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, term XX, term 2025 - 2030 with 100% of the votes.

Comrades Nguyen Hong Phong, Nguyen Hoai Anh and Trinh Tuan Sinh were elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee. The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission consists of 11 comrades, of which comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy - Standing Committee member, was re-elected to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission.

In addition, the Congress elected 33 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates representing the Thanh Hoa Party Committee and people to attend the 14th Party Congress. These are exemplary cadres with political qualities, ethics, capacity, prestige, representing the intelligence and aspirations of the Party Committee and people in the province.

Speaking at the closing session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh emphasized: "The personnel results are the high unity of the entire Party Committee. This is a team that is exemplary in intelligence, courage, leadership ability, dares to think, dares to do, dares to take responsibility for the development of Thanh Hoa. The new Executive Committee will make every effort to fulfill the important responsibilities assigned by the Party Committee and the people."

The personnel of the 20th Executive Committee is assessed as a harmonious combination of experienced cadres and young forces, demonstrating inheritance and innovation, creating a comprehensive and steadfast strength to successfully implement the Congress Resolution.

Congress Resolution guides development aspirations

Along with the success in personnel work, the Congress passed the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Resolution with the absolute consensus of the delegates. The Resolution identified the general goal as: "Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity; innovating the growth model, promoting digital transformation; making Thanh Hoa an important growth pole of the North Central region and the whole country."

Each cadre and Party member must be an exemplary role model, taking practical action, contributing to bringing the Resolution into life.

According to the Resolution, in the 2025 - 2030 period, the province strives for an average GRDP growth rate of over 11%/year, GRDP per capita by 2030 to reach over 190 million VND; state budget revenue to reach over 85,000 billion VND; the poverty rate to decrease by an average of 1.5%/year.

The Resolution also sets out 32 main targets, 8 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs, focusing on: developing processing industry, clean energy, high-tech agriculture, tourism - services; investing in strategic infrastructure, improving the investment environment, promoting innovation; improving the quality of human resources, administrative reform, developing sustainable culture and society, maintaining national defense and security.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh affirmed in his closing speech: "The success of the Congress is the belief and motivation for the entire Party Committee, the entire people and the entire army of Thanh Hoa to unite, be creative and strive to successfully implement the Resolution. Each cadre and party member must be an exemplary nucleus, taking practical actions, contributing to bringing the Resolution into life."

Immediately after the Congress, the 20th Executive Committee directed all levels and sectors to develop specific action plans, organize study and thoroughly grasp the Resolution, and at the same time launch patriotic emulation movements, creating a new momentum in the whole province, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
