On the afternoon of October 16, the Da Nang City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee chaired the conference.

At the conference, comrade Hoang Dang Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work for comrade Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided that comrade Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 and related positions; transferred and appointed comrade Le Ngoc Quang to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, holding the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025-2030; and appointed him to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 5.

Presenting the Politburo's decision to comrade Le Ngoc Quang, speaking at the conference, comrade Le Minh Hung congratulated comrade Le Ngoc Quang on being trusted by the Politburo to mobilize and appoint him to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized: Da Nang is a centrally-governed city, an important location in terms of national defense, security, economy and society of the Central Highlands region and the whole country.

The 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term was a great success. The Congress focused on thoroughly discussing the draft documents submitted to the Congress, in which there was high consensus on the contents and evaluation of all aspects of work in the past term.

Although the past term encountered many difficulties and challenges, the Da Nang Party Committee has strived to achieve many important results, basically completing the set goals and tasks.

On behalf of the Politburo, comrade Le Minh Hung commended the achievements that the Party Committee and people of the city have attained, including the important contributions of the Party Executive Committee.

Comrade Le Minh Hung requested Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang to closely follow the direction of the Central Committee, direct the issuance and promptly organize the implementation of the action program to implement the resolution of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025-2030; promulgate working regulations, arrange cadres after the congress to ensure the principles of democracy and objectivity, create consensus, promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation and creativity in the entire Party Committee.

At the same time, he requested comrades in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, leaders at all levels and sectors in the Da Nang City Party Committee to promote the tradition of solidarity, unity, support, companionship and assistance so that comrade Le Ngoc Quang can excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Politburo.

The highest goal is to be determined to develop Da Nang city comprehensively and synchronously in all areas of political, economic, cultural and social life, contributing to building Da Nang city to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized, modern and humane. Building Da Nang city to become a growth pole of Vietnam.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Le Ngoc Quang, expressed his deep gratitude to General Secretary To Lam, who always paid attention to and closely directed localities, including Da Nang.

Comrade Le Ngoc Quang respectfully thanks the Politburo and the Central Organizing Committee for their trust and creating conditions for him to continue training and contributing in a city with a special strategic position in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Before being appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, on October 5, 2025, the Politburo appointed comrade Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term .
