Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee aims for modern media

Attending the congress were comrades Pham Van Duc, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Hao, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Vu Ngoc Tu, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper.

The flag-saluting ceremony was solemnly held at the Congress.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee has promoted its leadership role, excellently completed assigned political tasks, upheld principles, innovated leadership methods, and continuously improved the quality of press products.

100% of the term resolution targets were achieved and exceeded. Especially the targets on political and ideological work, Party development, building cultural units, developing multi-platform journalism and social and charitable activities.

Comrade Vu Ngoc Tu, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper delivered the opening speech of the Congress.

Printed newspapers maintained regular publication of 5 issues/week with nearly 6.4 million copies; photo newspapers serving ethnic minorities reached more than 4.5 million copies during the entire term.

E-newspapers made an impressive breakthrough when increasing traffic from 120,000 visits/month in 2020 to an average of 1.2-2.2 million visits/month in 2025, with some months reaching 3-6 million visits.

The application of converged CMS from March 2023 is considered a technological turning point, helping Dak Nong Newspaper quickly approach a modern newsroom model.

Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee focuses on Party building work, with over 95% completing tasks well; admitting 5 new Party members; maintaining Party Committee activities, comprehensive inspection and supervision; no Party members violating internal politics or ethics.

Activities of unions, trade unions and Journalists Associations have all been recognized for completing their tasks well, many members have won provincial and central press awards.

The congress also frankly pointed out a number of shortcomings such as the low quality of Party cell activities; the uneven quality of press products; some reporters have not kept up with the requirements of technological innovation and media convergence...

Entering the new term 2025-2030 as part of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio - Television after the merger, the Party Committee determined the direction to build a clean and strong organization; ensure to preserve the identity of local Party journalism, improve political - professional - technological quality; firmly maintain the role of guiding public opinion and being the voice of the Party Committee, government and people.

In the new term, the Party Committee strives to admit at least 10 new Party members, and 100% of Party cells apply information technology in Party operations and work.

The 5th Congress of the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee is an important milestone, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, innovation, determination to overcome difficulties, readiness to enter a new development stage, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress of Party Agencies and the Resolution of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Pham Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts, struggles and achievements of the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee in the past term.

Comrade Pham Van Duc suggested that the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility and practical wisdom to contribute ideas to the draft documents of the congresses at higher levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party. The work of organizing cadres in the coming time must have new thinking and vision to contribute to building a new and increasingly developed province in general and press products in particular.
