Taking place for 4 days, from October 3-6, the Mid-Autumn Festival At Ty-2025 in Hoi An ancient town, Da Nang city with special performances of lanterns, lion dances, lantern processions and many outdoor art activities is expected to bring to the people and tourists a brilliant festival season, rich in cultural identity.
According to the Organizing Committee, the most anticipated highlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival - At Ty 2025 is the "Full Moon Festival Night" taking place at 7:00 p.m. on October 4, at Hoi An Park with lion-unicorn-dragon performances and Mid-Autumn-themed art.
At the same time, the "Music and Moon" space took place at 106 Bach Dang, introducing to visitors, especially children, folk songs, nursery rhymes, and traditional musical instruments to create a musical exchange space that is both profound and bustling during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In particular, on the evening of October 5, the program "Hoi An Ancient Town Night" partly recreated the living space of ancient Hoi An people in lantern light, bringing a sense of peace to visitors.
On October 6, the “Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade” in the old quarters promises to spread a bustling atmosphere throughout the streets. During the festival, there will also be a display of Mid-Autumn dishes, a photo exhibition and a celestial dog dance, and an experience space at the Museum of Folklore.
The Mid-Autumn Festival At Ty-2025 not only brings joy to all ages but also contributes to honoring traditional cultural values, affirming the creative spirit of Hoi An land and people in turning heritage into materials to create new, unique and memorable experiences for visitors.
In 2023, the traditional festival, social customs and beliefs of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hoi An were recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
This further affirms the value and lasting vitality of the festival on the heritage land.
In Hoi An, a land that was once a bustling international trading port from the 17th to 18th centuries, the Mid-Autumn Festival has become a unique festival, formed and developed on the basis of local traditions, with both cultural exchanges and assimilation between China and Japan, and imbued with Vietnamese folk identity, reflecting the dynamism, creativity, gentleness and hospitality of the people here./.
