After losing their child, the marriage between Lam (Quynh Kool) and Toan seemed to have reached a dead end. Receiving the decision to go on a business trip and finding the relationship difficult to mend, Toan wrote a divorce petition and gave it to Lam. Feeling that the relationship between the couple was not stable, Lam and Toan's mothers also tried to mend it but failed. In episode 27 "Gio ngang khuong troi xanh", after seeing Lam having a male colleague come to her house to care for her, Toan could not hide his anger.
For the first time, Toan poured out all the hidden frustrations he had been holding onto for so long to Lam.

"I'm not a perfect person, nor am I someone who often says nice words. But I believe you understand how your heart is. Even when we lost our child, I was heartbroken, you saw that too. Even when I felt that way, you completely denied it, you completely blamed me. You think I don't have to act like a good husband taking care of his wife. Have I ever had to act like a good husband? No!", Toan shouted and left.
To Dung’s red eyes, filled with tears but unable to cry in this scene received a lot of praise from the audience. Many viewers said they sympathized with Toan when he helplessly watched his marriage go into a dead end.
"The dialogue is profound, clear but still emotional, true to the depressed psychology of a husband. So good, To Dung", "The scene explodes with emotion, To Dung acted this scene so well that it made me cry because I felt sorry for myself",... are compliments for the actor after this scene aired.

Before that, Toan was a husband who always nagged about his wife's wasteful spending and always prioritized work above all else. However, behind that was Toan's haunting childhood story that made the audience sympathize with this character more. A poor childhood caused Toan's family to lose both his father and his younger brother, so he always thought that he had to work hard to earn money so that when he had children, he could give them a good life. Meanwhile, with her ladylike nature, Lam seemed to understand her husband less and only thought about herself.
That's why many viewers think that with Lam's personality, this marriage should end so that both can find a more suitable person.
