Hezbollah said it had launched a series of rockets and drones at nine Israeli military sites, after its senior commander Taleb Abdallah was killed in an Israeli attack.

Hezbollah said the attack was "part of a response to the assassination" of its commander Taleb Abdallah. The senior commander was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern Lebanese village of Jouya on June 11. One of the targets targeted by Hezbollah was an Israeli base, which is believed to house an intelligence headquarters "responsible for assassinations".
