It is recommended not to sing karaoke causing noise and disturbance in residential areas.

La Gi Town Police also recognizes: Loving singing is a healthy and legitimate entertainment need in everyone's spiritual life; this is also encouraged to improve the quality of people's spiritual life.
However, through the reflections of people in residential areas, it can be seen that the most important issue is still awareness in entertainment activities, having fun in a cultured way, not affecting neighbors. Therefore, before the influence of karaoke in families, the CSKV force at the Police of wards and communes has proactively coordinated with the Executive Board of villages and neighborhoods to regularly propagate and guide people to raise awareness, sing without causing disorder and encourage the form of art and entertainment with appropriate sound levels, healthy for the spiritual and cultural life of the people, ensuring not to cause loud noises, noise, and chaos in residential areas.

At the same time, the current situation, the installation of karaoke systems in families does not meet the technical standards prescribed for space and especially the noise that affects the daily life of people around, besides, there is also the awareness of people opening karaoke without following the regulations on time, the noise exceeds the standard, making everyone's daily life disrupted by the noise of karaoke.

The affected people are not only the elderly and children, but also workers who want to rest after a hard day's work, especially now that students are in the school year, the karaoke noise will greatly affect their studies and learning results.

According to the provisions of Point a, Clause 1, Article 8 of Decree 144/2021/ND-CP, the act of singing karaoke causing noise is the act of making loud noises, making noise and disturbance in residential areas and public places between 10:00 p.m. the previous day and 6:00 a.m. the next day. This act of singing karaoke causing disorder will be subject to a warning or a fine of 500,000 VND to 1 million VND for individuals or organizations committing the act. In addition, individuals and organizations violating noise regulations may also be subject to a warning or a fine of 1 million VND to 160 million VND depending on how much the sound intensity ( dBA ) of the noise exceeds the technical standards on noise.

Singing karaoke regardless of time and not in accordance with regulations not only causes noise to neighbors but also affects the daily life of people in the residential community. Each person must be aware and responsible to the community and people around them, not sing karaoke causing loud noises, noise, and chaos in the residential area where they live, not let their activities and exercise of their freedoms harm the freedoms of others, live in a way that has village love and neighborliness, worthy of the philosophy of life that our ancestors have summarized "Sell distant brothers to buy close neighbors".

Article 22 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP specifically stipulates the fines as follows:
- Warning penalty for noise-causing behavior exceeding technical standards on noise by less than 2 dBA.
- A fine of 1 million to 5 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 2 dBA to less than 5 dBA.
- A fine of 5 million to 20 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 5 dBA to less than 10 dBA.
- A fine of 20 million to 40 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 10 dBA to under 15 dBA.
- A fine of 40 million to 60 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 15 dBA to under 20 dBA.
- A fine of 60 million to 80 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 20 dBA to under 25 dBA.
- A fine of 80 million to 100 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 25 dBA to under 30 dBA.
- A fine of 100 million to 120 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 30 dBA to under 35 dBA.
- A fine of 120 million to 140 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 35 dBA to under 40 dBA.
- Fines from 140 million VND to 160 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding technical standards on noise from 40 dBA or more.
