Propaganda introducing the Coast Guard force and the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands

On the morning of November 22, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Ha Long City Party Committee to organize the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" to propagate and introduce the Coast Guard force, the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands, and the situation in the East Sea.

During the program, Major General Tran Van Hau, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command, introduced to delegates the main features of the organization, functions, tasks and some outstanding achievements of the Vietnam Coast Guard; the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands and some main features of the recent situation in the East Sea.

Also in the program, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1, Ha Long City and philanthropists in the province gave gifts to policy families, fishermen, and students with difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies in Ha Long City.

The program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" organized by the Coast Guard Region 1 Command in coordination with the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Ha Long City Party Committee is one of the activities to concretize the Coordination Program No. 01, dated October 29, 2019 between the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee, associated with the implementation of Resolution No. 15, dated April 23, 2019 of the Provincial Party Committee "On the development of seaports and seaport services in the province until 2025, with a vision to 2030"; contributing to the goal of "Building Quang Ninh province to develop into one of the strong maritime economic centers of the country"; at the same time promoting the combined strength of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building and firmly protecting national sovereignty over seas and islands.

The Command of Coast Guard Region 1, Ha Long City and philanthropists in the province gave gifts to policy families, fishermen, and students with difficult family circumstances in Ha Long City.

On the same afternoon, the Coast Guard Region 1 Command coordinated with Ha Long City to organize the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" with the participation of students from the following schools: Bai Chay Secondary School, Bai Chay 2 Primary and Secondary School and Ly Tu Trong Secondary School.
