Timely rescue of a Russian male tourist who drowned while swimming in Nha Trang beach

A Russian tourist drowned while swimming in Nha Trang beach (Khanh Hoa). He was promptly rescued by the authorities.

The accident happened at noon today, October 22, on Nha Trang beach, opposite Maple Hotel, Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward ( Khanh Hoa ).

At the time, despite the bad weather at sea due to the influence of storm No. 12, with many large waves crashing against the shore, a group of Russian tourists still went swimming. A man in the group, about 50 years old, was swept away by the large waves and drowned.

The male tourist is being given first aid after being brought ashore.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the rescue team of Nha Trang Bay Management Board urgently rescued the man in distress, brought him to shore and performed first aid for several minutes, then his breathing and heartbeat showed signs of recovery. The victim was transferred to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for further treatment, escaping from critical condition.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 18, at the beach in front of the Lodge Hotel, on Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward, another male tourist was also swept away from shore by large waves while swimming. Fortunately, the rescue team of the Nha Trang Bay Management Board was also promptly rescued, brought to shore and then transferred to Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
