Spain "swimming in money" after winning Euro 2024

UEFA will pay 28.25 million euros to the Spanish Football Federation after the national team won Euro 2024. This is the maximum amount a team can receive when participating in Euro 2024. The reason is that they won all 7 matches.

Each team that qualifies for Euro 2024 will receive 9.25 million euros. Three group stage wins will net Spain an additional 3 million euros. They will also receive 1.5 million euros for reaching the round of 16, and 2.5 million euros for reaching the quarter-finals. Reaching the semi-finals will earn La Roja an additional 4 million euros. Finally, winning the tournament will net them an additional 8 million euros.

The Spanish team has completed negotiations on the bonus issue with the Spanish Football Federation. Accordingly, the whole team received 30% of the above amount. On average, each member of Spain received 434,615 euros (depending on each person's contribution).

Importantly, the success of the "Bulls" has helped the Spanish Football Federation and the players benefit from signing lucrative sponsorship contracts. This amount is much larger than the bonus they received after winning Euro 2024.

Reality has proven that past success (winning Euro 2008, 2012, World Cup 2010) has helped the generation of David Villa, Torres, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol and Casillas get rich quickly thanks to huge sponsorship contracts.

Now, many faces like Rodri, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams or Morata promise to "attract customers". Spain has waited 12 years to be able to celebrate a major title in the international arena.

The Spanish team returned to Madrid yesterday. They held a bus parade and a celebration immediately after. Tens of thousands of fans poured into the streets to celebrate their team's Euro 2024 victory.
