Set up 6,000 business appointments between Vietnamese and international tourism businesses

That is an impressive number at the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025, held on October 16-17.

On October 16, at the Ariyana Danang International Convention Palace, the 2nd Danang International Tourism Festival officially opened on an expanded international scale, opening up nearly 6,000 trade exchanges.

The event was hosted by the Da Nang Tourism Association in coordination with HorecFex Vietnam to create a strong trade connection space, opening up opportunities for strategic connection and cooperation, contributing to promoting sustainable growth of visitors and revenue.

Danang International Tourism Festival 2020 with the theme "Strengthen and Breakthrough" attracted more than 300 sales units and 110 international buyers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that in the first 9 months of 2025, the city's tourism industry has made efforts and achieved impressive results, being a bright spot in Da Nang's economic sector with more than 14.4 million overnight visitors (an increase of more than 22% over the same period).

Of which, international visitors reached 5.8 million (up over 31%). Total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel services reached over 44,000 billion VND (up 25%). Da Nang also achieved many internationally recognized titles, such as Asia's leading event and festival destination; top 10 Asian cities with the highest rate of returning visitors, top 50 destinations with the highest tourist attraction globally, Hoi An was ranked 6th in the 25 most beautiful cities in the world in 2025...

This is a positive signal showing the strong resilience of the city's tourism after the merger, and at the same time showing its growing attractiveness to both domestic and international markets.

Mr. Vuong said that with the theme "Strengthening and breaking through", the second Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 is an important event in the strategy to promote destinations and enhance the city's tourism brand.

"This is not only a simple promotional event but also a meeting place for Da Nang to affirm its position as a regional tourism, conference and event center and a trade bridge, inspiring creativity for businesses, tourists and the community," said Mr. Vuong.

Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that 2025 marks a remarkable development step for the Vietnamese tourism industry, as the whole industry is making efforts to implement Resolution 226 of the Government with the goal of welcoming 25 million international visitors.

Vietnam Tourism Association highly appreciates the role of Da Nang Tourism Association, with its professional, dynamic and creative spirit, successfully connecting more than 120 international buyers, more than 200 domestic buyers and more than 150 sellers, creating a large-scale tourism trading forum, attracting strong interest from domestic and international partners, businesses and media.

Taking place over two days, October 16-17, this event recorded a record number of more than 6,000 business appointments established between Vietnamese and international tourism businesses, affirming the growing attraction and influence of Da Nang on the regional tourism map.

With the theme "Strengthen and Breakthrough", this year's event attracted more than 300 sellers, 110 international buyers from key markets such as Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, China, Japan, Russia, India, CIS countries and Western Europe, more than 180 domestic travel companies and nearly 2,000 attendees representing travel companies, hotels, restaurants, service providers and tour guides.

The event is expected to bring many practical cooperation opportunities, and at the same time become an important boost to promote trade and promote destinations for Da Nang.
