Vietnamese cuisine is once again honored on the world culinary scene.

With a score of 96.67%, Vietnam ranked 4th in the list of countries with the most attractive cuisine in the world in 2025 announced by Condé Nast Traveller magazine.

On October 10, Condé Nast Traveler magazine announced the rankings within the framework of the annual Readers' Choice Awards 2025, voted by global readers.

For this year's World's Leading Cuisine Awards, the organisation selected locations based on the criteria of "truly stimulating the taste buds of visitors".

The countries named in the list all achieved a high level of satisfaction for tourists, with an average score of 94% or higher. The top three countries in the list of countries with the most attractive cuisine in the world are Thailand (98.33%), Italy (96.92%) and Japan (96.77%).

Condé Nast Traveller commented that Vietnam is a street food paradise, where simple dishes such as vermicelli noodles, pho or banh cuon "possess a timeless appeal". Vietnamese cuisine is highly appreciated for its fresh ingredients, flexible cooking style and affordable prices.

Dishes such as pho, bun cha, banh mi, goi cuon or banh xeo are not only loved by locals but also captivate international tourists. In addition to affordable experiences, the magazine also highlighted the rising wave of fine dining in Vietnam. Ciel Dining & Lounge in Ho Chi Minh City was selected as one of the "Best New Restaurants 2025".

This one-Michelin-starred restaurant scores with a menu that combines modern culinary techniques and local ingredients, clearly demonstrating the transformation of Vietnamese cuisine on the international map.

Vietnam is a country with thousands of years of history, 54 ethnic groups living together on the S-shaped strip of land, so the culture is diverse and rich. Natural factors, terrain with a long coastline are favorable factors for culinary development. This is something that not every country in the world has.

With a rich culinary culture, from North to South, each region offers unique culinary experiences for visitors, from vibrant street food to sophisticated parties, each dish tells a story about the unique local culture.

Vietnamese dishes in any region or ethnicity are full of elements that are pleasing to the eye, pleasing to the nose, delicious to the taste, easy to prepare, close to nature and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Vietnamese cuisine is the quintessence of processing. This is very clear in Vietnamese dishes which are mainly cereals, vegetables, fruits, do not use much meat, low in fat, so they are favored by many tourists in many countries.

According to many researchers, Northern cuisine has a moderate taste, not too strong, eye-catching colors and sophistication, meticulous in processing and presentation. Hanoi is considered the culinary quintessence of the North with delicious dishes such as pho, bun thang, bun cha, bun oc, com lang Vong, Thanh Tri rice rolls...

In addition to carefully selecting ingredients for dishes, Hanoians also skillfully and effectively combine spices such as onions, garlic, chili, herbs, and dipping sauces into dishes.

Central cuisine is not as sophisticated as Northern cuisine and not as diverse as Southern cuisine, but it has its own unique flavor and cultural identity.

The most distinctive feature of Central cuisine is its distinctive flavors, with many spicy and salty dishes. The colors are rich and vibrant, with a tendency toward red and dark brown. Central cuisine is famous for its sour shrimp paste and various types of shrimp paste.

Hue cuisine is especially influenced by royal culinary style, so it is very sophisticated in preparation, presentation, and the variety of colors and quantity of dishes.

Southern cuisine is heavily influenced by Chinese, Cambodian, and Thai cuisine, so the dishes tend to be sweet and spicy, popular with dried fish sauces such as mam ca sac, mam bo hoc, mam ba khia, etc. In particular, the South has many types of rustic dishes associated with the land known as the "rice granary" of the country.

It is no coincidence that international friends praise Vietnamese dishes as very delicious and attractive. Vietnamese food stalls in festivals promoting tourism and culinary culture abroad always attract a large number of locals and international visitors to learn and enjoy.

Vietnamese cuisine has been honored many times by travel and world culinary websites with the most famous and attractive dishes to international visitors, including countless street foods in all three regions./.
