Chairwoman of the Vietnam - France Friendship Parliamentarians Group Nguyen Thuy Anh was pleased to welcome the General Director of Sanofi at the National Assembly House; highly appreciated the activities of the General Director of Sanofi over the past year in Vietnam, including implementing many cooperation activities with ministries, branches, medical facilities and hospitals of Vietnam, achieving many practical results.

General Director of Sanofi Vietnam Burak Pezmezci sincerely thanked Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh for taking the time to receive the delegation; thanked the meeting between Sanofi Group and the delegation of the Vietnam - France Friendship Parliamentarians Group in France last July, from which, more information about Sanofi's contributions and activities in Vietnam was provided.

The Chairman of the Vietnam - France Friendship Parliamentarians Group highly appreciated the presence in Vietnam for nearly 70 years; said that Vietnam is in a period of strong transformation; in the health sector, the Politburo has passed Resolution 72-NQ/TW on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health. Vietnam is aiming to strengthen disease prevention, ensure equitable and comprehensive access to health care, modernize the hospital system and promote innovation in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, in order to build a resilient, inclusive and sustainable health system, capable of responding to population, epidemiological and technological challenges in the coming decades.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam-France Friendship Parliamentarians Group Nguyen Thuy Anh said that Sanofi has room to develop in Vietnam through investments in domestic drug and vaccine production, health education and prevention programs, as well as sustainable development activities... Sanofi can contribute to reforming the health sector structure, while bringing international expertise and technological innovation to serve the Vietnamese people.

In particular, the Chairwoman of the Vietnam-France Friendship Parliamentarians Group highly appreciated the cooperation between Sanofi and the Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC), which was concretized during President Macron's visit to Vietnam last May. Believing that this is an important partnership for the Vietnamese vaccine industry, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh hopes that this cooperation will contribute to meeting domestic demand, while also helping Vietnam participate in the regional supply chain, reducing vaccine costs for people and strengthening national health security.

Sanofi's General Director highly appreciated the innovations in the recently issued Resolutions of Vietnam; affirmed that Sanofi is committed to always accompanying the Vietnamese management agency to share experiences in applying artificial intelligence in drug registration, to help the digital transformation process not only stop at digitization, but also really contribute to freeing up resources, taking advantage of AI in screening dossiers and supporting experts in evaluating dossiers.
