Within the framework of FWC 2025, Vietnam SuperPort™'s booth was honored to welcome FIATA President Turgut Erkeskin and representatives of the world's leading associations and enterprises to visit. Here, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort TM , introduced the plan to operate the Extended Air Cargo Warehouse (OACT), a strategic link in the multimodal supply chain that will be officially launched soon.

The region's largest integrated air cargo warehouse
With a strategic location on the Northern economic corridor, connecting more than 20 industrial parks with major seaports and airports such as Noi Bai, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and extending to Yunnan, Kunming (China), OACT not only promotes the flow of goods between Vietnam and the China - ASEAN region but also directly connects with the network of international airlines and key markets such as the US, Europe, and Asia.
Notably, this is one of the first long-distance air cargo warehouses in Vietnam that pioneers in fully integrating functions as an "outside airport cargo terminal", including: customs clearance, security screening, storage, loading and unloading of ULD (unmanned aerial vehicle loading equipment), transportation to the airport... Here, goods will be processed according to strict security control procedures by the 24/7 CCTV system, aviation security and customs from the reception stage to transportation to the aircraft. With a total area of over 11,000 m2 and a cargo handling capacity of about 50,000 tons/year, OACT is built and equipped with modern facilities according to international standards, capable of receiving, storing and processing large volumes of goods from many businesses and carriers from demanding markets such as the US and Europe.

According to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, OACT is an important component of the Vietnam SuperPort™ Multimodal Logistics Center, which is developed according to the “Park within a Park” model, integrating all modes of transportation including rail, road, sea, and air into a single center. Thanks to that, businesses can flexibly change the mode of transportation to suit their needs, optimizing time and transportation costs.
Along with connectivity and operation capacity, Vietnam SuperPort™ also introduced a plan to develop OACT into a modern, smart cargo terminal, applying technological advances: AI, Robotics... Specifically, Vietnam SuperPort TM has cooperated with Google and Kyndryl to research and develop new generation AI integrated into security screening machines to detect prohibited and dangerous goods, and at the same time, apply AI in automatically authenticating cargo documents to enhance cargo safety and security.
In addition, with the support of the Singapore Agency for Science , Technology and Research (A*STAR), Vietnam SuperPort™ is researching Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV); Robot loader; Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) to automate the entire logistics process, expected to increase operational productivity by up to 35% while reducing error rates by 50%.
Key to regional connectivity and resilience
In the long term, OACT is moving towards comprehensive digitalization, creating an integrated logistics platform that allows businesses to track, manage and book services online on a single system – from customs declaration, security control to electronic payment. This is an important step towards building a comprehensive digital aviation supply chain, connecting Vietnam to the smart logistics network of the ASEAN region and the world.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, shared: “Vietnam SuperPort TM represents the shared vision of YCH Group and T&T Group in building a smarter, greener and more connected supply chain for the region. OACT is not only a logistics infrastructure, but also a driving force that contributes to strengthening Vietnam’s role as a trade and innovation hub in the ASEAN region and internationally.”
With the development motto "Connected - Smart - Sustainable", OACT not only undertakes the function of storing and processing goods but is also oriented to become a strategic bridge, contributing to improving integration capacity, optimizing logistics costs and expanding international trade opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises.

In terms of efficiency, the OACT model will bring many important competitive advantages to import-export enterprises and the entire aviation logistics chain, improve service quality, contribute to reducing congestion and pressure on the cargo terminal at the airport, improve operational flow and facilitate flight routes and cargo flows.
“OACT is not just a long-term warehouse, but also a symbol of Vietnam’s vision of smart and sustainable connectivity. We aim to build a new generation logistics center where technology, infrastructure and people together create a new driving force for global trade.” , CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™ emphasized.
Previously, at the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2025 (VIIE 2025), Vietnam SuperPort™ also made a strong impression when introducing to the public many breakthrough and modern technological solutions to improve the efficiency of the logistics system, making Vietnam a strategic link in the global supply chain.
The continued introduction and preparation for the official operation of the OACT Extended Air Cargo Warehouse by Vietnam SuperPort™ once again affirms the strategic vision in digitizing logistics to build a smart, efficient and sustainable connected ecosystem for Vietnam and the region.
Vietnam SuperPort™ is a multimodal logistics port with an area of up to 83 hectares and a total investment of 300 million USD located in Phu Tho province. This is a strategic joint venture between YCH Group, a leading supply chain solution provider from Singapore with nearly 70 years of leading experience in the industry, and T&T Group (Vietnam), one of the leading multi-industry private economic groups in Vietnam. Vietnam SuperPort ™ aims to enhance Vietnam's integration into the global supply chain, reduce logistics costs and strengthen the country's competitive advantage in international trade.
