Story about the Head of the Front Work Committee in the Cham neighborhood

Cham Quarter, Lac Tanh Town, Tanh Linh District has 360 households with over 1,560 people. In recent times, thanks to many policies and guidelines of the Party, programs and plans of the State, infrastructure has been invested, preferential loans for family economic development, thanks to which the economic life of the people here has gradually improved, the number of poor households has decreased year by year. Contributing to this overall result is partly the effort of the Head of the Front Work Committee of Cham Quarter - Mr. Dong Son.

Mr. Dong Son shared: He has been involved in social work since 1980, holding many different positions. When Lac Tanh was still a commune-level administrative unit, he was Deputy Village Chief and Head of the Village Front Work Committee. When Lac Tanh commune was upgraded to a town (in 1999), he was Head of the residential area and is currently Head of the Front Work Committee of Cham residential area, Lac Tanh town. In every position, he always strives to complete the assigned tasks well.

Mr. Dong Son's experience is that if we want the movement and activities to develop, we must create consensus among the people, and the cadres doing the Front's work must be proactive, responsible, enthusiastic about their work, and their words must go hand in hand with their actions so that the people will believe and follow. Therefore, we must always be exemplary, take the lead, be proactive and flexible in propaganda work, and mobilize people to well implement the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws, and actively participate in local movements and activities. In particular, since the implementation of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the program "The whole country joins hands for the poor", Mr. Son has directly gone to each household to mobilize them to register to implement the criteria for building cultural families, cultural residential areas, poverty reduction targets, etc. Since then, people have enthusiastically responded, raising their sense of self-reliance, actively working to develop the economy, and building cultural families.

With the working spirit of "giving life a little love", every year, Mr. Son always accompanies the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the town to join hands to support poor households in difficult circumstances. He has mobilized units and individuals to support hundreds of gifts for poor and disadvantaged households on holidays and Tet. In 2023, Cham quarter strives to have 23 near-poor households escape poverty by the end of the year out of a total of 63 near-poor households. This is a difficult task that requires the support of the entire local political system and Mr. Son himself also tries very hard to create all favorable conditions for people to access loan sources, enjoy State programs, encourage people to be self-reliant, strive to compete in labor to improve their lives. Up to now, through review, the poverty reduction target for 2023 of Cham quarter has basically been achieved.

With his dedication and enthusiasm in poverty reduction work, Mr. Dong Son is not only an extension of the local Party Committee and government, but also a reliable support for the people of Cham neighborhood. We believe that with his experience, enthusiasm and efforts, Mr. Son will have better ways to bring the Party and State's policies and guidelines closer to the people.
