Recognition of Hue Railway Station tourist destination

Hue City Department of Tourism issued Decision 339/QD-SDL dated October 9, 2025 on recognizing Hue Railway Station tourist destination.

According to the decision, Hue Railway Station (No. 1, Bui Thi Xuan, Thuan Hoa Ward) is recognized as a tourist destination of Hue City. Hue City Department of Tourism assigns Thua Thien Hue Railway Exploitation Branch to be responsible for organizing, managing, exploiting and developing tourist destinations in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Tourism and related legal documents.

In addition, the Departments and branches: Agriculture and Environment, Construction; People's Committee of Thuan Hoa Ward, Thuan Hoa Ward Police, according to their functions and tasks, are responsible for coordinating, guiding and inspecting the Thua Thien Hue Railway Exploitation Branch in organizing the management, exploitation and development of Hue Station tourist site to ensure safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Hue Railway Station was built by the French and completed in 1906, located on the 171 km long Dong Ha - Da Nang railway line. This is one of the oldest railway stations in Vietnam. The station has been upgraded and expanded, but still retains the French architectural style of a century ago.

Located on the North-South railway line, Hue Station is a stopover for many tourists, especially foreign tourists. The recognition of Hue Station as a tourist destination will contribute to promoting and introducing to tourists another interesting stopover when coming to Hue.
