The organizers said that the highlight of Vietnam Highlands Trail 2025 is that the race distances are officially calculated for the UTMB Index (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc World Series) and the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) point system. Meeting the ITRA/UTMB Index standard is an international recognition of the quality of the route, distance/elevation measurement and organization. This not only attracts the region's top Ultra-Trail athletes but also opens up direct opportunities for Vietnamese runners to participate in the draw at the most prestigious tournaments on the planet such as UTMB Mont-Blanc in France.
