Young player Tran Gia Bao is in the Top 60 most promising young talents in the world.

Recently, The Guardian (UK) published the list of “Next Generation 2025” - Top 60 most promising young talents in the world. Tran Gia Bao, a player of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club, is the only representative of the Southeast Asian region to appear on this list.

According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation, an article written by veteran journalist John Duerden has outlined the image of a "bright gem" that is gradually shining in the heart of Vietnamese football.

According to The Guardian, Gia Bao became the youngest player to ever play and score in V-League 1 (2024-2025 season) at the age of 16 - a historic milestone in Vietnamese football.

Before that, this versatile attacking player quickly attracted attention thanks to his technical playing style, flexible movement ability and confident demeanor on the field. Not only outstanding at a young age, Gia Bao continued to assert himself through domestic tournaments with daring moves and beautiful goals.

Most recently, Gia Bao was also a member of the Vietnam U17 team participating in the 2025 AFC U17 Championship and made his mark with a goal in the 1-1 draw with strong opponent Japan U17.

Previously, Gia Bao also impressed in the U16 Vietnam shirt when he and the team won 3-0 against U16 Uzbekistan and 1-0 against U17 Japan at the U16 CFA Team China 2024 Tournament held in China.

Being included in the “Next Generation 2025” list is not only a source of personal pride for Tran Gia Bao but also a positive signal for Vietnamese football, as for the first time in many years, a young domestic player is considered by international experts to be a potential face that can reach the continental level.
