The 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress of Vietnam Development Bank

Attending the Congress were Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi, leaders representing central agencies, ministries, departments and branches; along with 17 collective units, 50 collective departments and 138 outstanding individual delegates, 5 good people and good deeds are typical advanced examples representing the patriotic emulation movement of the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB).

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Dao Quang Truong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) said: This patriotic emulation congress is an important milestone to evaluate the development steps of VDB's patriotic emulation movement, demonstrating the continuation and promotion of good traditions and achievements and results gained in recent years.

The main content of the Congress is to summarize the emulation and reward work and emulation movements of the industry in the 5 years 2020-2025; thereby continuing to arouse, encourage and strongly promote resources, creating new motivation in implementing the Bank's tasks in the coming time.

“This congress is also an opportunity for us to study, honor and commend the achievements, creativity and efficiency of cadres and workers in the VDB system; to honor and commend typical, advanced and outstanding collectives and individuals in emulation movements selected from units and emulation clusters”, VDB General Director Dao Xuan Truong emphasized.

At the Congress, opinions and discussions unanimously assessed that the patriotic emulation movement and the reward work of VDB over the past 5 years have had new, practical and effective developments. The patriotic emulation movements continue to be developed in both breadth and depth, motivating units, cadres and workers to strive to compete, overcome difficulties and achieve positive results in all areas of work.

The results of emulation movements and commendation work have contributed positively and aroused the sense of responsibility of each collective and individual in successfully implementing the 5-year goals and tasks of VDB 2020-2025. From the emulation movements, many collectives, emulation fighters and typical advanced and outstanding examples in various fields of work have been recognized, awarded with titles and forms of commendation.

In addition, opinions at the Congress also frankly pointed out the limitations and weaknesses in emulation and reward work; analyzed and clarified the causes and drew many valuable lessons in leadership, direction and organization of emulation and reward work.

To take advantage of opportunities and favorable conditions to strive to achieve goals and tasks, in the coming time, VDB General Director Dao Xuan Truong suggested that the entire Bank should continue to promote patriotic emulation movements and do better in commendation work, thoroughly grasp and implement the patriotic emulation spirit of President Ho Chi Minh : "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism means emulation".

On behalf of the VDB Board of Directors, VDB Board of Directors, VDB Emulation and Reward Council, General Director Dao Xuan Truong also requested that after this Congress, the affiliated and subordinate units, based on the actual situation of the unit, continue to respond to and launch a vibrant and practical emulation movement to successfully implement the tasks and goals of the Resolution of the VDB Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the 4th VDB Patriotic Emulation Congress.

At the Congress, with the spirit of determination to successfully carry out the restructuring tasks and build an effective and sustainable VDB, the Vietnam Development Bank launched the emulation movement for the period 2025-2030 with the theme: "Solidarity, innovation, breakthrough, building a professional, modern, and sustainable development Vietnam Development Bank in the era of national growth".
