Tria Festival
This is not only a course on cultural expertise but also a journey to spread love for heritage, awakening pride and awareness of preservation in every Bru - Van Kieu person.
Not only learning theory, students also directly practice festival rituals - from preparing offerings, dancing and singing, to organizing the festival space. Under the enthusiastic guidance of Kim Ngan artisans, the classroom atmosphere becomes lively and full of emotions.
“We hope that training courses like this will be held regularly so that people have the opportunity to learn and teach the younger generation,” a student shared excitedly.
From practical experiences, students also have access to methods of connecting similar heritages, turning each festival, each craft village, each hamlet into a stop on the journey to discover Bru - Van Kieu culture.
VHO - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province has just held a closing ceremony of a training course on building a model to develop the cultural life of ethnic minorities for 65 trainees who are commune officials, artisans, village elders and prestigious people in the Van Kieu community in Kim Ngan commune, Quang Tri province.

These lessons open up a new perspective: each heritage is a tourism product, each artisan is a "cultural tour guide", contributing to the formation of a community tourism model associated with local identity.
The training course in Dan Hoa commune affirmed a new approach – taking heritage out of the exhibition space and returning it to the community. When people are able to participate and live in their own heritage, cultural values are not only preserved but also become a driving force for sustainable development in the highlands.
Ms. Trang Thi Hong Thuy, Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Museum, said: "Preserving and promoting the value of the New Rice Festival of the Bru - Van Kieu people is an urgent task, contributing to preserving the national cultural identity, while opening up a direction for sustainable local tourism development."

“We always consider ethnic minorities as the subject of heritage, the core in developing community tourism. Through training courses, we hope that people will be equipped with more skills and knowledge to turn cultural heritage into sustainable livelihoods, contributing to enriching the tourism map of Quang Tri,” Ms. Thuy affirmed.
Many trainees expressed their desire to continue participating in training courses that expand the content to include performance skills, tourism communication and heritage storytelling. When each person becomes a “cultural ambassador”, the dances, gong rhythms and songs of the Bru – Van Kieu people will continue to resonate, further brightening the national cultural identity in the Truong Son mountains and forests.
From October 7 to 15, the training course "Building a heritage model connected with heritage tourism itineraries to develop ethnic minority communities with similar heritage" was deployed for the Bru - Van Kieu ethnic group in Dan Hoa commune, Quang Tri province. During the training, the trainees learned about the value of intangible cultural heritage, especially the New Rice Festival - a typical traditional activity of the Bru - Van Kieu people.
