Cao Bang: Policy credit capital contributes to sustainable poverty reduction

Policy credit capital in the third quarter of 2025 in Cao Bang province has contributed to creating jobs for nearly 2,000 workers, building 630 clean water and rural environmental sanitation works, supporting 351 poor households and 07 low-income households to build houses, helping 04 workers borrow capital to work abroad, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, social security and local economic development.

That was the information in a meeting with socio -political organizations to evaluate the results of loan entrustment activities in the third quarter and deploy tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025, recently organized by the Cao Bang Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch.

According to the report at the meeting, by the end of the third quarter, the total outstanding loans entrusted through socio-political organizations reached over VND 5,000 billion, accounting for 99.75% of the total outstanding loans of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, completing 94% of the growth plan assigned for 2025. Loan turnover in the quarter reached VND 290 billion, with more than 4,000 customers, of which poor and near-poor households accounted for 25%; debt collection turnover reached VND 281.4 billion, equal to 97% of loan turnover. Overdue entrusted debt of VND 2.8 billion, accounting for 0.06% of total outstanding loans, was controlled at a low level.

According to the plan, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch and entrusted socio-political organizations strive to complete 100% of the target for outstanding loan growth and capital mobilization; maintain an average social transaction rate of over 97%, the debt collection rate of over 98%, and at the same time, reduce overdue debt compared to 2024, ensuring that policy credit capital reaches the right subjects, is used effectively and practically for people's lives./.
