On October 11, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province issued a document directing the Department of Education and Training to urgently inspect and handle three cases that have caused a stir in public opinion in recent days, directly related to educational activities in the province.
Accordingly, from October 7 to 10, many press agencies reported a series of "hot" issues in the industry: Thousands of extra teaching hours of teachers in many schools have not been paid for the past three years; Schools are "in a mess" because of unrealistic guidance documents from the Department of Education and Training; Teachers were assaulted by colleagues right in the schoolyard, in front of students.

Regarding the case of teachers being "owed" money for extra teaching hours, the provincial People's Committee leader requested the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to immediately inspect and handle the matter, ensuring legitimate rights for the teaching staff.
Regarding the case of “a teacher being assaulted by a colleague in the schoolyard”, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to advise on a directive document to rectify the entire sector, strengthen discipline, behavioral culture and discipline in the pedagogical environment. The goal is to build the image of an exemplary, civilized teacher, a role model for students to follow.
With the reflection on the unrealistic guidance document, causing many schools to be "confused", the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training to review all content, promptly remove difficulties so that educational institutions can stabilize their organization and focus on the new school year.
Previously, the press reported that the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training issued a document guiding schools to comply with Resolution No. 34/2023 of the People's Council of Phu Yen province (old) regarding boarding and after-hours childcare revenues and expenditures. Many schools said that the revenue was too low, causing the salary for meals and nannies to only reach 2-3 million VND/month, making boarding activities difficult to maintain.
Regarding the report of Vo Nguyen Giap High School about Mr. Nguyen Truc Sinh (Secretary of the Youth Union, teacher of National Defense and Security Education) reminding Mr. Dang Tang (Math teacher) about parking his car in the wrong place in the school yard. But instead of accepting, Mr. Tang is said to have loudly threatened and choked Mr. Sinh twice, right in front of students and school security guards. The incident is currently being verified and clarified.
