
On October 14, the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province held a working session with leaders of institutes, universities, colleges, and enterprises in Dak Lak province and the coastal provinces of the South Central Coast - Central Highlands on the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation in the province.

According to the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, in the period of 2021-2025, the province has deployed 45 national, provincial and grassroots science and technology tasks and applied them into practice over 80%. The science and technology tasks focus on the following areas: High-tech agriculture ; preservation and processing technology; natural resource and environmental management; tourism and cultural development; national defense and security and digital transformation in management.
In addition, the whole province has received 40 technical processes, 46 application models; trained 84 technicians, and taught 861 people new techniques to apply in production and life, bringing initial results.
The Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology cooperates with institutes, schools, and enterprises to deploy 60 demonstration models in rural, mountainous, and ethnic minority areas. Many advances have been effectively applied such as: growing edible mushrooms, medicinal mushrooms, raising swiftlets, growing medicinal herbs under forest canopy, VietGAP safe fruit trees and vegetables, producing organic fertilizers...

In particular, Dak Lak is one of the first provinces in the country to announce artificial intelligence (AI) platforms to support people, businesses, officials, civil servants and public employees in the process of grasping and looking up new regulations as well as performing public administrative services; announcing the operating, management and monitoring system from the provincial to communal levels.
Regarding digital-telecommunications infrastructure, up to now, 100% of villages and hamlets have mobile broadband coverage, 99.9% of the population has 4G signal, download speed 390 Mbps, 5G covers 26% of the population, and is expanding. 100% of villages and hamlets have fixed fiber optic internet. IOC data center invested since 2020, expected to complete the provincial digital infrastructure by the end of 2025...
However, according to the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, in addition to the achieved results, regulations on science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation are slow to be concretized and applied in practice, leading to limited effectiveness, so institutes, schools, and enterprises have not boldly participated. The linkage of the three parties (institutes-schools-enterprises) is still fragmented, lacking a benefit-sharing mechanism, so a closed value chain from research-training-application-commercialization has not been formed...

At the meeting, representatives of institutes, schools and enterprises expressed their joy and excitement when the Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. At the same time, they focused on discussing, exchanging and proposing and recommending to the province mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties, strengthen coordination between institutes, schools, enterprises and the province in research, application of science and technology, digital transformation as well as deploying breakthrough solutions to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW in the province in the coming time, contributing to promoting the province's rapid and sustainable socio-economic development...
