RT reported on October 14 that former Presidents Biden and Bill Clinton praised Mr. Trump for his role in the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, aiming to completely end the conflict in Gaza.
"I commend President Trump and his team for their efforts to reach a new ceasefire and help bring the hostages home," Biden wrote on Twitter, expressing hope that the peace would last. He called for "equal measures of peace, dignity, and safety" for both Israelis and Palestinians.

In a statement on October 13, former US President Clinton also praised Mr. Trump: "I am grateful that the ceasefire is in effect, the last 20 hostages have been released, and much-needed aid has begun to flow into Gaza. President Trump and his administration, Qatar, and other stakeholders in the region deserve credit for their perseverance until an agreement was reached."
The former US President also called on Israel and Hamas to "strive to turn this fragile moment into a lasting peace that brings dignity and security to both Palestinians and Israelis."

President Trump and mediators from Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye signed a Gaza ceasefire and peace agreement at a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on October 13.
During the signing ceremony, President Trump said that "everyone is happy" with the agreement. He expressed confidence that the conflict in Gaza was over. However, it remains unclear whether the agreement will be fully implemented.
