At around 2:30 p.m. on October 16, Waterway Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) received a report that a foreign tourist had drowned while swimming in the sea near Bach Dang Park (near the headquarters of Waterway Police Team No. 1). The unit commander directed 3 officers and soldiers to use a canoe to quickly arrive at the location where the tourist was drowning and promptly rescue and bring the tourist safely to shore.
