Urging to overcome landslides on the North-South expressway slope before October 25

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai has just directed the Department of Construction, Project Management Board 7, Project Management Board 85 and related localities to strengthen monitoring and urge units to repair and overcome the landslide incident due to the impact of the construction of the North-South Expressway Construction Project in the East phase 2021 - 2025 (North-South Expressway); to be completed before October 25.

Specifically, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Project Management Board 7 and Project Management Board 85 to coordinate with the People's Committees of relevant wards and communes to urgently repair and restore local roads damaged due to the construction of component projects, creating favorable conditions for people to travel safely and conveniently.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai directed units to urge the completion of incident response work before October 25.

At the same time, the Project Management Boards need to thoroughly resolve cases of people whose houses are damaged or affected by the construction of the North-South Expressway Project in the Eastern region in the 2021-2025 period. Repair and remedial activities must be completed before October 25.

Previously, during the heavy rains that lasted from October 15 to 16, some slopes of the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh project collapsed, causing soil to flow into the houses of four households in Long Binh village, Tuy An Bac commune. Some roads in the commune such as DT 641, DH 33 and concrete, soil and rock roads were washed away by water, affecting traffic participants.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the communes and wards where the North-South Expressway passes through to monitor the implementation of Project Management Board 7, Project Management Board 85 and construction contractors to ensure the safety of people's lives during the flood season.
