In a related development, four diesel tankers and four cooking oil tankers were delivered from Egypt to UN humanitarian organizations in the Gaza Strip on November 29. An Israeli agency said the trucks were part of the Israel-Hamas truce and hostage release agreement. In addition, 200 trucks carrying humanitarian aid moved to the Gaza Strip on the same day. The trucks carried food, water, tent-making equipment and medical supplies.

The released hostages were among about 240 people kidnapped by Hamas in an attack on southern Israel on October 7, in which Israel says 1,200 people were killed. Israel launched a retaliatory attack that has so far killed more than 15,000 people in the Gaza Strip, according to local health authorities.
