At the end of the trading session on October 10, the stock market witnessed a simultaneous breakthrough of the "Vin family" stocks group, namely VIC of Vingroup Corporation and VHM of Vinhomes.
This breakthrough pushed the VN-Index to a new record high of 1,747.55 points. This was also the third consecutive session of increase for the VN-Index, although liquidity decreased slightly compared to the previous session at VND33,941 billion.
Of which, VIC code increased to the ceiling price of 192,000 VND/share, equivalent to an increase of 360% compared to the beginning of the year.
Similarly, Vinhomes' VHM shares also hit the ceiling at VND123,000/share, up more than 200% since the beginning of the year. With this result, Vinhomes' capitalization officially exceeded half a million billion VND. This is also the third largest listed company on the market, only after Vingroup and Vietcombank .
At the same time, two other stocks, VRE (Vincom Retail stock) increased by 6.2% and VPL (Vinpearl stock) increased by 2.1%.
As a result, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's assets increased sharply. According to Forbes, at the end of the trading session on October 10, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong pocketed an additional 1.1 billion USD, bringing his total assets to 18.1 billion USD (equivalent to more than 447,550 billion VND).
