Introducing and voting for 50 outstanding events and activities of the City

(Fatherland) - On March 20, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City officially introduced events and activities to vote for 50 outstanding events and activities of Ho Chi Minh City towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Ho Chi Minh City organized a vote for 50 outstanding events and activities in the development of the City over the past 50 years. This voting event aims to honor the typical achievements that have contributed to the development of the City in particular and the country in general. This is an opportunity for the People to participate and choose events and activities that have important historical, political , economic, cultural, social, defense, security... marks of the City.

Events and activities are introduced based on synthesis and selection from nominations by departments, branches, localities, press agencies and the Advisory Council (including experts, veteran revolutionaries of the City, scholars, and researchers on the City's development history).

Join in honoring memorable moments in the 50-year journey of building and developing the City, all agencies, organizations and people can vote or nominate additional outstanding events and activities throughout the 50-year history (from April 30, 1975 to present).

Events and activities nominated by the public will be considered for voting by the Voting Council when nominated by the majority of the public (at least 30% of the total number of nominees).

The City also sets out specific criteria for voting and additional nominations (if any) such as: Being in line with the Party and State's guidelines and policies, the City's socio -economic development strategy through each historical period in all fields; Having positive, widespread, long-term impacts that are agreed upon, responded to, supported and implemented by the People; Having typical values ​​in terms of historical, political significance, socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City in particular, the Southeast region and the whole country in general; Having a reputation, recognized by the Central and the whole country, and supported by international friends.
