Hanoi is ready for a brilliant fireworks display to welcome the New Year of the Snake 2025.

Kinhtedothi - At the moment of New Year's Eve to welcome the New Year of At Ty 2025, the Hanoi Capital Command will carry out the task of setting off fireworks to serve the people in 30 districts, towns and cities in the city.

Up to now, preparations are taking place as planned and ensuring safety to contribute to bringing a joyful and exciting atmosphere to the people of the Capital to welcome the New Year of At Ty 2025.

Fireworks display in 30 districts, towns and cities

Speaking to the press, Major General Dao Van Nhan - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Hanoi Capital Command, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays in 30 districts, towns and cities with more than 30 locations, including 10 high-altitude locations combined with low-altitude fireworks and the rest are low-altitude fireworks locations.

To ensure the safety of the fireworks display on New Year's Eve, the Hanoi Capital Command has advised the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to issue a document directing departments, agencies, and localities to do a good job of preparation. As the agency in charge of organizing the fireworks display, the Hanoi Capital Command also advised and coordinated with the fireworks supplier under the General Department of Defense Industry ( Ministry of Defense ) to organize training for 100% of the officers participating in the fireworks display. After the training, all officers participating in the task were granted certificates.

Along with that, the Capital Command has thoroughly informed the Military Command of 30 districts, towns and cities in advising on choosing the location, space and position of artillery positions to ensure the most solemn and beautiful criteria.

 

For the Lunar New Year 2025, according to the plan, Hanoi will organize a total of 30 fireworks display locations with 31 locations (including 10 high-altitude fireworks display locations combined with low-altitude fireworks and 21 low-altitude fireworks display locations). The number of high-altitude fireworks includes a total of 6,000 fireworks (10 locations, each location has 600 fireworks); low-altitude fireworks include a total of 3,420 sets (each location has 120 sets; 10 high-altitude locations, each location has 90 sets). The fireworks display time is 15 minutes, from 0 - 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (ie New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year).

The Capital Command also coordinated with the City Police to deploy a plan to ensure security and safety for the fireworks display on New Year's Eve. At the same time, it coordinated with the fireworks supply unit according to the plan. Accordingly, on January 21-22, the supply unit delivered low-altitude fireworks; on January 25-26, high-altitude fireworks were delivered to the Capital Command's warehouse.

To ensure that the people of the Capital can enjoy the most brilliant fireworks displays, the Capital Command directed the Military Command of 30 districts, towns and cities to deploy fireworks sites from January 28 and will complete before 8:00 p.m. on January 29, ensuring the fireworks display time from 0:00 to 0:15 a.m. on January 30 (ie the New Year's Eve moment to welcome the Year of the Snake).

At each artillery site, there will be 60 - 80 officers and soldiers coordinating with militia, self-defense forces, police, medical and environmental forces to ensure safety during the artillery firing process. The sites are strictly guarded and protected, all preparations are supervised by agencies under the Capital Command. The forces directly implementing the technical fireworks practice have been fully trained in methods, skills, and equipment operation. The firing practice process is under the general direction of the City Command Center located at the Hanoi Capital Command.

Be fully prepared in case it rains.

According to Major General Dao Van Nhan, the weather forecast for this year's fireworks display is expected to be cold, with possible drizzle. To ensure safety and technical safety for the artillery positions, the Hanoi Capital Command has directed 30 districts, towns and cities to fully prepare plans and scenarios, and with many years of experience in carrying out the task of fireworks display to welcome the New Year, the artillery positions in 30 districts, towns and cities are equipped to prevent rain and seepage, and have specialized forces on duty.

In particular, this year, the Hanoi Capital Command coordinated more closely to have technical assistance from experts from the fireworks supplier during the firing process. Along with that, this year, the equipment for the fireworks firing is all newly equipped, more synchronized and has been tested for safety and efficiency to minimize technical errors.

Regarding the work of ensuring safety for people when watching fireworks, Major General Dao Van Nhan said that the Hanoi Capital Command was assigned by the City People's Committee to set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year, which is a very honorable and proud task. Up to this moment, the unit has deployed work at 33 locations, promising that the fireworks night will create a new atmosphere to welcome Spring and enjoy Tet for the people.

In professional work, at each battle site, the functional forces of the Hanoi Capital Command always put security and safety as the top priority. Therefore, the arrangement of areas separating people from the battle site at a safe distance has always been maintained for many years.

However, to ensure safety during the first moments of the new year, the Capital Command recommends that people keep a distance of 100m or more from the shooting site to spectators. Strictly comply with traffic regulations and public culture when gathering at the fireworks display site. Do not jostle, push, or let unfortunate incidents happen when a large number of people gather in one area to welcome the new year peacefully, safely, and bring good luck and happiness.
