Long Xuyen Ward People's Council held a special meeting to pass 4 resolutions

On the afternoon of October 23, the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward (An Giang Province), term I, 2021 - 2026, held the 4th Session (special session) to resolve arising issues at the request of the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee. Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward Huynh Quoc Thai chaired the session.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen ward Huynh Quoc Thai delivered the opening speech of the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates voted to dismiss Mr. Huynh Quoc Thai, former Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People's Council, from the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward, term I, 2021 - 2026, to take on the task of Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Delegates at the meeting also listened to the submissions and inspection reports of the two ward People's Council committees and voted to pass four important resolutions, including: Resolution on deciding the number of civil servants in specialized agencies, administrative organizations and the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget in public service units under the People's Committee of Long Xuyen ward in 2025; Resolution approving the allocation of the 2025 public investment plan from the Long Xuyen ward budget; Resolution adjusting and supplementing socio -economic development targets for the last 6 months of 2025; Resolution confirming the results of the dismissal from office of the Chairman of the Long Xuyen ward People's Council, term I, term 2021 - 2026.

In his closing speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen Ward Duong Thanh Hung respectfully acknowledged and thanked Comrade Huynh Quoc Thai for his contributions to the overall development of the ward. During his time working at the Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward, with a high sense of responsibility towards the Party Committee, the government, voters and the people, he and the Party Executive Committee of the ward and the Standing Committee of the People's Council of the ward focused on leading, operating, innovating, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the People's Council's operations, making timely and correct decisions, creating momentum for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Congress.
