Coach Peter Cklamovski suddenly criticized FAM. |
The Star quoted coach Cklamovski as saying: “I understand there has been a lot of negative criticism directed at Tunku Ismail (Prince of Johor - a powerful figure with profound influence on the naturalization program), this is unfair.”
"The issues related to FIFA, including administrative errors, are entirely the responsibility of FAM, not Tunku Ismail. I want to send a strong message to the Malaysian people: without Tunku Ismail, Malaysian football is over. I will stop here," coach Cklamovski emphasized.
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) fake naturalization scandal is shaking Southeast Asian football, especially when FIFA officially concluded that this agency and seven naturalized players violated Article 22 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code 2025 on "Forgery and falsification of documents".
On social media, many Malaysian fans criticized the Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim (TMJ), claiming that he was the one who directly cheated. However, Coach Cklamovski praised Tunku Ismail and criticized FAM: "He (Tunku Ismail) is a visionary leader. Without Tunku Ismail, Malaysian football would have collapsed long ago."

Prince Tunku Ismail Idris is believed to be behind Malaysia's fraudulent naturalization policy. |
“Who brought in the funding from the Prime Minister and the government? It was Tunku Ismail, not FAM. Who raised the standards, made sure we travelled on private flights like professional teams? It was Tunku Ismail. The support for us to perform at our best all came from him,” added the Malaysian head coach.
Coach Cklamovski's statement angered many Malaysian fans. "He just wants to please Tunku Ismail, all Malaysian fans know who is the real cheater, FAM is just a puppet", said a fan named Arif.
"How can a coach openly criticize his own management unit (FAM), perhaps he directly receives money and orders from Tunku Ismail? Malaysian football is nothing but a farce," another fan commented.
