Traditional Sports Festival of Da Nang Port in 2025 welcomes the 1st Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, towards welcoming the 14th National Party Congress

The 2025 Sports Festival gathered nearly 400 athletes who are officers, employees of Da Nang Port and partners and close customers. The athletes competed in 10 diverse sports, combining traditional and modern sports , including: Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis, Swimming, Chinese Chess, Tug of War, Sack Jumping, Running and Pickleball - a new sport introduced into the program, demonstrating the dynamism and integration of the Port.

Speaking about the significance of the event, Mr. Le Tan Minh - Chairman of the Danang Port Trade Union affirmed: “ People are the most valuable asset and the foundation for all successes of Danang Port. The traditional sports festival is not only an activity to improve physical health, but also an opportunity to cultivate spiritual life, strengthen solidarity, and exchange and learn between units inside and outside the Port. From this playground, we hope to spread a vibrant atmosphere of labor competition, a spirit of 'work hard, play hard', join hands and strive to excellently complete the targets and tasks of 2025".

During the Sports Festival, 10 competitions turned the fields into fierce arenas but also filled with laughter and noble spirit. From dramatic moves, beautiful shots on the soccer, badminton, and tennis fields; mind-boggling chess games; to the collective strength demonstrated through each steady tug-of-war; or the joy and dexterity of sack jumping. In particular, the first appearance of Pickleball brought a new breeze, attracting a large number of athletes to participate and cheer, demonstrating the dynamism and readiness to integrate with the new trend of Da Nang Port. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ket, a veteran athlete of Tien Sa Port Enterprise, shared with excitement: “ After hours of highly concentrated work on the wharf and containers, we can put on our sports shirts and work hard together for the flag and colors of the unit. Winning or losing is not everything, what is important is that we get to meet and exchange, and the camaraderie and camaraderie between us will become stronger.”

Not only an internal playground, the Sports Festival also received strong support from partner businesses. Ms. Truong Thuy Trang, Director of Vietnam Maritime Bank - Da Nang branch said: " Participating in the Sports Festival with Da Nang Port is a great experience. We are not only business partners, but through these activities, we feel closer and understand more about the culture and people of Da Nang Port. Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Mr. Tran Le Tuan - Party Secretary, General Director of Da Nang Port emphasized: " This year's sports festival has a very big goal, which is to welcome the 1st Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, towards welcoming the 14th National Party Congress. We not only build Da Nang Port into a modern logistics center, but also a common home where every worker feels attached. The sports festival is an opportunity to regenerate energy, improve health, and more importantly, to strengthen the invisible connection between individuals, between units, between Da Nang Port and partners. The combined strength cultivated from playgrounds like this is the foundation for us to conquer the production and business goals of 2025 together, creating a solid foundation for the following years ."

The 2025 Da Nang Port Traditional Sports Festival was a great success, a clear demonstration of the motto " Connecting for prosperity " that Da Nang Port always pursues. The journey of the Sports Festival has ended, but the flame of enthusiasm, the spirit of "fair-play" and solidarity will continue to spread in every working corner, on every wharf and yard. This is not only a spiritual boost, but also a strong affirmation of a Da Nang Port collective that is physically strong, intellectually strong, mentally strong, ready to overcome all challenges, successfully complete the 2025 mission and continue the journey of building a sustainable development of Da Nang Port, reaching the regional level.
