Opening of TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025: A space for intellectual convergence, connection and spreading innovation

That was the affirmation of Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Hoang Minh at the opening ceremony of TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 on the morning of October 9 with the theme "Unlimited creativity - Hai Phong reaches out to the ocean".

TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 continues to affirm its role as a typical event in the field of innovative startups of the Port City. This event is not only a forum for converging the quintessence of technology and creative ideas, but also a breakthrough space, giving wings to bold projects, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the business community and bringing Hai Phong to the level of integration with the big sea.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong emphasized: TECHFEST Hai Phong is an annual event that has accompanied the city's development since 2017. Over the past 9 years, TECHFEST Hai Phong is not only a place to gather and demonstrate new ideas, products and technology solutions, but also becomes a "creative innovation brand" of Hai Phong, a playground connecting ideas, resources and markets; arousing the belief, creativity and aspiration to reach out to the sea of the young generation, intellectuals and the business community.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong emphasized that in the new period, after merging the territory with Hai Duong , Hai Phong identified innovation as the main driving force, led by three breakthroughs: Technology, institutions and human resources. The city will focus on perfecting policy mechanisms, developing technological infrastructure, especially in the semiconductor field, enhancing international cooperation and training high-quality human resources.

In that spirit, through this event, Hai Phong aims to build a space for intellectual and creative convergence, creating a foundation to nurture, connect and develop startup ideas into valuable products and services, and at the same time become a bridge to bring science, technology and innovation into life and production, contributing to promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh emphasized that TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 is a vivid demonstration of the close connection between innovation, digital transformation and business development, the three important pillars of the modern economy. TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 not only bears the unique mark of the locality, but also demonstrates the spirit of perseverance, companionship and close connection between the government - businesses - institutes - startup community. Thereby, TECHFEST Hai Phong has been affirming its position not only as a creative meeting place of the city, but also as a national-scale event, spreading strongly in the region.

Deputy Minister Hoang Minh also pointed out that TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 is a step to vividly concretize the spirit of the Resolution of the 1st Hai Phong City Party Congress, term 2026-2030, contributing to turning science, technology and innovation into key driving forces, promoting Hai Phong to new heights, developing rapidly and sustainably.

TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 introduces and connects more than 1,000 technology products and innovative solutions from more than 200 domestic and foreign enterprises; at the same time, it gathers more than 3,000 delegates including enterprises, managers, experts, and investment funds to attend and connect in a series of events on science, technology, and innovation.

Taking place over 3 days with 12 thematic events throughout, TECHFEST Hai Phong 2025 attracted thousands of people to register to attend directly, creating a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the spirit of innovation widely.

Within the framework of the event, many forums and seminars were held, directly linked to the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and new technology trends such as: "AI - Trend of startups and digital economic development", "Hai Phong - Center of high-quality human resources in the electronics and semiconductor industry"... These are all strategic topics, demonstrating the city's breakthrough vision in the new term, affirming the determination to make science, technology and innovation become key driving forces in the socio-economic development process of Hai Phong./.
