On October 16, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh Trung commune to survey the actual landslide situation on the Bac Vinh Tre route.

The delegation inspected the subsidence and landslides that occurred in My Trung and My An hamlets to assess the current situation and proposed to the An Giang Provincial People's Committee to have a remedial plan to ensure absolute safety for people and traffic.

Previously, the Bac Vinh Tre route recorded 2 landslides from October 4 to 9, 2025, with lengths of 15m and 60m respectively in My An hamlet. The landslide sections are in a state of serious subsidence, potentially affecting the concrete road surface structure.

Currently, the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh Trung commune has mobilized forces to reinforce landslide sites and support people in moving their belongings to safe places. At the same time, temporary response plans have been deployed such as zoning, putting up warning ropes, installing signs, barriers and traffic lights at landslide sites; closely monitoring the development of landslide areas for timely handling.
