Not accepting flowers or gifts on October 20, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union calls for sharing with people in flood-hit areas

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union calls on organizations and individuals to join hands to contribute to support those who are in real need of help.

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) (1930 - 2025) and the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 2010 - October 20, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union has issued an official announcement about not accepting flowers and congratulatory gifts from agencies, units, organizations and individuals.

This decision was made to seriously implement the directives of the Party, the State and the City's direction on practicing thrift and fighting waste in commemorative activities.

In the spirit of "mutual love", the Association wishes to devote attention and resources to sharing difficulties with compatriots in localities suffering heavy losses due to natural disasters, storms and floods, as well as supporting the Cuban people in the current difficult period.

Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union calls on organizations and individuals to turn good feelings into practical actions and join hands to contribute to support those who are truly in need of help.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union would like to express our deep gratitude and acknowledge the valuable attention and support that agencies, units, organizations and individuals have given to the women's movement and the Union's work over the past time.
