On the afternoon of October 16, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City to hold a press conference to provide information on socio -economic issues in the city.
At the press conference, Mr. Do Diep Gia Hop, Deputy Head of the Traffic Works Maintenance and Operation Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, shared about the progress of many important projects that will soon be put into operation.

Specifically, the Ring Road 2 construction project is expected to start in November 2025 and be completed by the end of 2027. The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway expansion project (from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2) is expected to start in October 2025 and be completed in 2026.
The An Phu intersection project is under construction, with the N2 overpass branch expected to open to traffic before December 31, 2025, the HC1-02 underpass expected to open to traffic before January 15, 2026, and the project completed in September 2026. The My Thuy intersection construction project is expected to be completed in June 2026, helping to relieve traffic pressure for the Cat Lai port area.

In addition, projects such as upgrading and expanding National Highway 13 (from Binh Trieu Bridge to the former border of Binh Duong province); upgrading and expanding National Highway 1 (from Kinh Duong Vuong Street to the border of Tay Ninh province); renovating and upgrading National Highway 22 (from An Suong to Ring Road 3); upgrading and expanding the North-South axis (from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway) are projects implemented under the special mechanism of Resolution 98, invested in the form of public-private partnership BOT, and have been approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for investment policy.
Currently, the Department of Construction and investors are coordinating to speed up site clearance to soon start construction, expected to be completed by 2028 at the latest.
