Accommodation and tourism services flourish
Accommodation establishments in Ho Chi Minh City recorded a growth rate of more than 10% in the first 9 months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, both in terms of revenue and number of visitors. According to business representatives, the merger of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Duong provinces into Ho Chi Minh City right at the peak of summer tourism - the time when the unit had many stimulus programs, helped the number of visitors and revenue of the unit increase significantly.

"The merger with Ho Chi Minh City is a big boost for regional tourism as well as Lan Rung; helping the number of visitors from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong increase in both quantity and quality. In the final stage of the year, we focus on implementing stimulus programs, applying more information technology and increasing cooperation with online businesses to reach young customers."
Trade and retail industry grows positively
Not only the accommodation and food sector, the trade and retail sector in Ho Chi Minh City also recorded positive growth.
At Co.opmart Vung Tau supermarket, in the first 9 months of 2025, retail sales of goods increased compared to the same period in 2024. Especially, on holidays and Tet, the number of customers and revenue increased by about 8%.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will increase activities to stimulate domestic consumption, promote digital transformation in trade and services, and promote the organization of large-scale commercial events and festivals to attract customers during the peak season at the end of the year. These are considered important driving forces to help the city's service sector maintain sustainable growth momentum.
