Urgently issue reserve rice to support people in Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces

On the morning of October 13, the Ministry of Finance informed that the State Reserve Department has decided to urgently release national reserve rice and supplies and equipment to support people in Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces affected by floods.

Specifically, the State Reserve Department issued (free of charge) national reserve goods to the People's Committee of Cao Bang province to serve the work of natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue in the province, including: 100 tons of rice, 20 sets of lightweight life-saving tents ^{of 24.5m2} , 400 life jackets, 300 round life buoys, 50 lightweight life-saving rafts, 4 sets of generators of various types, 3 sets of drilling and cutting equipment, 66 sets of fire-fighting water pumps and 6 sets of rescue rope launching equipment.

The State Reserve Department also decided to urgently supply 2,000 tons of national reserve rice (free of charge) to support people in Lang Son province to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after the flood.

The People's Committees of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces are responsible for receiving, allocating and distributing funds to the right subjects and for the right purposes, ensuring publicity and transparency; and at the same time, managing, using and reporting support results according to regulations.
