Le Loi: The effectiveness of social security policies

In recent years, Le Loi commune has synchronously implemented social security policies: eliminating temporary housing, taking care of meritorious people, supporting livelihoods, vocational training...

In practice, social security work in Le Loi commune has been carried out proactively, with a focus and key points. Thanks to the attention of the local Party Committee and government, people's lives have had many positive changes. Currently, the commune's health insurance coverage rate has reached more than 80%, helping people access convenient health services. In the first 9 months of 2025, more than 600 people were examined and treated, most of whom were ethnic minorities. Preventive medicine and maternal and child health care have been maintained regularly; there have been no epidemics or food poisoning in the area.

Along with that, the Party Committee and the government of Le Loi commune also pay special attention to the work of gratitude and support for the disadvantaged. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the commune distributed gifts worth 886 million VND, reaching 99.1% of the total population. Along with that, monthly social allowances were paid to 448 beneficiaries, supporting 173 poor households (688 people) with more than 6 tons of rice on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025; giving 68 longevity gifts to the elderly with a total cost of over 31 million VND. Child care and gender equality were focused on; mass cultural and sports movements developed strongly. The whole commune had 1,800/1,902 households registered to achieve the title of cultural family, many villages maintained traditional cultural and sports activities, contributing to preserving national identity and improving the spiritual life of the people.

The commune also focuses on labor, employment and vocational training. In the first 9 months of 2025, the commune created jobs for 126 workers, of which 7 went to work abroad under contract. Associations and unions organized 13 recruitment and career counseling sessions with more than 650 participants, contributing to expanding employment opportunities for youth in the highlands.

People of Le Loi commune actively participate in the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary houses", contributing to changing the face of rural highlands.

Along with health care and labor - employment work, since the beginning of 2025, Le Loi commune has strongly implemented the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with the cooperation of the entire political system. This is considered a "bright spot" in implementing social security policies. Up to now, the commune has completed 167 houses, of which 116 new houses were built and 51 houses were repaired, helping hundreds of poor households have solid and safe housing before the flood season. Through the program, the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community has also been aroused. Hundreds of working days were voluntarily contributed by the people; many organizations, individuals and businesses joined hands to support money and construction materials. The commune also reviewed 54 more households in need to continue supporting in 2025, striving to have basically no temporary houses left in the area by the end of the year.

Mr. Vu Van Than - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Loi Commune said: The commune thoroughly grasps and effectively organizes the implementation of social security work; vocational training, job creation associated with loans for economic development. In addition, it also well implements support programs such as: national target program on poverty reduction, temporary housing elimination program... so that people of all ethnic groups can have a better life.

The cow farming model helps many households in Le Loi commune escape poverty sustainably.

Not only supporting social security, the commune also focuses on creating long-term livelihoods for people to become self-reliant. Up to now, the total outstanding loan balance of the Social Policy Bank has reached 95.75 billion VND. This capital source has helped hundreds of households invest in raising buffaloes, cows, goats; developing cinnamon, cardamom, cardamom, and medicinal herbs. Up to now, the total livestock herd of the commune has reached 10,197 heads, more than 37,700 poultry, the vaccination rate has reached over 80%. Along with that, the planting area has been expanded with 163 hectares of cardamom, 269 hectares of cinnamon, 30 hectares of cardamom and 115 hectares of fruit trees, forming concentrated production areas, increasing economic value. Many households have boldly changed their thinking, linked up into small production groups, and shared techniques and product outputs. From just "waiting for support", people have now proactively changed their lives.

Ms. Hang Thi Ly in Pa Bon village (Le Loi commune) shared: "With support for the concentrated cow raising model, we take turns taking care of the cows and grazing them in designated areas. My fellow villagers and I will try our best to take care of them so that the cows can develop, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction."

It can be seen that, with the attention of the Party, the State and the solidarity of the people of all ethnic groups, Le Loi is gradually realizing the goal of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. In particular, ensuring social security is the foundation for sustainable development. When people have housing, jobs, and stable livelihoods, they will proactively rise up to escape poverty, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
